Yeah Oliver Stone's really mellowed out in his old(er) age. Much more toward the center of things. You can tell he has a certain fondness for Bush, from watching W. But he didn't pull his punches in depicting Bush as exactly who I think he is - Joe Six Pack. If you want to know what can happen to our country if Joe Six Pack takes the reigns for two terms - - look no further than the last 8 years till now.

There are NO good movies playing right now: NONE.
~ Latest from Clint Eastwood - "Changeling". Just doesn't do it for me. Seems. . . . drab
~ Kevin Smith . . . I love K. Smith. Watched the preview on Youtube for Zack and Miri make a porno, and. my. GOD it looks terrible. Not one positive reaction from me during the entire preview. And I swear if I see that curly haired Seth Rogen in one more movie this year I'll be sick. Enuff is enuff already...
~ Sir Ridley Scott churns out another drab, colorless, did I mention "drab" looking -?- techno spy thriller about the "war on terror". . . *ooooohhh*. And despite my admiration for both DiCaprio and Crowe - - fuggetabout it. Looks painful.
~ Madagascar 2 - - Almost decided on this until we came to our senses
About this time I turned to sisy and says "Maybe that High School Musical movie is funnier than we think ?" And while she gives me a dead stare, I plug the trailer into YouTube just to see. . . oh. my.GAWD . .. No . . .No . . . NO . . . !
~ Guy Ritchie has this "Rocknrolla" flick, the trailer on Youtube almost had us ready to see this one. Then after we watched it we utterly forgot about its existence, lol
~ I'm afraid SAW V is the only movie out now worth anything, which is saying something, something very sad, and pathetic, and besides, I already saw it.
Lord please send us some good movies, soon !

nonono.
you really don't 'need' a kid...like the best of the genre going back to the MGM and/or bugs bunny cartoons, there's ALWAYs an underlying winkwink to the adults watching.
there's a HILARIOUS quartet of penguins who are always doing stuff that on a kid's level is slapstick funny but the shit they SAY while they're slappin' each other around is quite sophisticated.
no recommended to one and all.
someone tell dwazee she's gotta see it!
if she hasn't already.....

hahaha. . . now that's funny. Yes I enjoy most Pixar -type movies, some more than others, for instance I wasn't as into Ice Age as I was into The Incredibles, so I never bothered with Ice Age 2 - - but would definitely go see The Incredibles sequel, if they ever made one. And I enjoyed the UNholy Hell out of Wall-E - -man, that was classic. But I hated Cars. Loved Toy Story and its sequel pretty much - - but couldn't get into MOnsters, Inc. Which is weird, considering the premise for that one seems right up my alley. I missed out on Over The Hedge, and I'm willing to bet I would have loved it. *cues it up for a future rental*. Now I really completely went Ga-Ga over A Bug's Life - - way more so than that Woody Allen one, whose title escapes for the moment (something about Ants). But that was a good one too - - don't get me wrong.
Clearly, there is a certain degree of "classicness" which I seem to require when it comes to these computer-animated kid-friendly movies; whereas The Lion King will fill my eyes with tears and actually move me, I'm afraid those ones about Rayban wearing Penguins lost in the Tropics just don't cut it for me.
But yeah. I hear ya man. I'm down with the kids animated movies mostly, and mostly cuz, well I'm just a big ol' animated kid myself. ;D

I cannot tolerate Dreamworks or Pixar movies. Maybe I'm too old, but I've never been the kind of person who enjoys something just because it's "cute".
Last film I saw was "Rolling Stones: Shine a Light". Not what I expected it to be, but entertaining nonetheless. I wanted to see it when it was in the theaters, but now I'm glad I didn't. Mick Jaggers aged face would have frightened me terribly in such huge dimensions.
