WOULD YOU DUMOCRATS RATHER HAVE SADDAM HUSSEIN IN POWER? Yes. Iraq was better off, and so were we.

Isn't it just alittle too convenient that he wrote that right before the election? Come on. No, he wrote it right before his brother's birthday.

Am looking forward to this years Texas races. Have decided to vote for the independent candidate for Govenor of Texas, Carole Keeton Strayhorn. The current republican Govenor and '06 incumbent, Govenor Rick Perry, is a total dunce and the democratic candidate Chris Bell, is a total wimp. That leaves my choice Carole as the person getting my vote. I usually vote straight democratic party lines, but due to the incompetance of the current Govenor, and the wimpyness of the democratic candidate, I feel that it is in Texas's best interest to vote Carole.
Carole has been state comptroller for many years and has done a remarkable job as state comptroller. I hope she wins. She could really "shake things up" here in Texas.

I am voting for whatever candidate most closely resembles and acts in a manner befitting the Lord Jesus Christ...or Bill Maher.

If Bell is w/in striking distance, I'll vote for him. Otherwise, I'm going to vote for Kinky Friedman.
Like his slogan says, why the hell not?

Actually, Patlogi, you're going to vote for the Democrat in the race. It's because he has a "D" next to his name.

If Bell is w/in striking distance, I'll vote for him. Otherwise, I'm going to vote for Kinky Friedman. Like his slogan says, why the hell not? Is Kinky actually a semi-serious candidate, or is our nation really such a mess that there's really no reason not to vote for him? I'm not asking to be critical, I'm just really curious. I don't know a thing about that campaign at all, but on its face it seems like Kinky Friedman running for governor shouldn't be that different from when Gallagher ran for governor of California...or when Schwarzennegar ran for that matter, so never mind.

Kinky has 18% of the polls. The Dunce (Perry) has 35%, more than any other candidate...alas. If Kinky was respectable he would endorse Carole who also, along with Bell maintains 18% of the polls.

I didn't really mean if he had legitimate polling numbers. I was more curious whether or not he had any actual ideas to bring to the table and/or whether he was viewed as a serious candidate by people who base their vote on things other than name recognition.
