Despite the polls, I'd be shocked if Democrats took back the House or the Senate.
And even if they took back the House (which is at least possible), I doubt they'd make that much of a difference... even if they had the ability to. Here's to 2 more years of bullshit and decline!

I'll be very surprised if the Dems don't get the House on this go-round. The Senate could go either way.
I don't expect a Democratic House to be able to turn this wrong-headed administration around, but I do expect that the new leadership will use its subpoena power to begin investigations into the (what I suspect is rampant) wrongdoing over the last six years.
So substantive policy reform? That's asking waaaaay too much right now. But a Democratic House will effectively make Bush into an extremely lame duck, and begin the house-cleaning that so desperately needs to be done. In two years, when the Dems take back the White House (and hopefully the Senate as well), that's when we'll have a shot at making some real policy gains.

What Holzman said.
From what I've read about kinky he seems more interested in forcing debate issues then actually winning...at least i'd hope he wouldn't actually try some of the crazy shit he's been saying...

I think the Democrats should work to lose this election, in hopes of capturing the White House in 08.

...or at least not look like complete schmucks when they get there...so it'd probably be best if they lost...

It looks reasonably promising for the Democrats right now but there’s still plenty of strange goings-on... If it doesn’t happen again for some reason, I won’t be entirely surprised. Though I have to say, I sort of fear the kind of mischief the Bushies could get up to over the remainder of their term, anyway, even with a Democratic-controlled House. As to the White House, Israel embarked on a war of choice this summer ending in strategic failure, the political fallout of which has seen a desire for "stronger" leadership result in a further shift to the right. If an election is held anytime soon this looks set to benefit the old-line Likud under Benjamin Netayahu and Yisrael Beytenu, another party even further to the right. Not convinced that a similar dynamic couldn’t benefit certain Republicans in 2008 as America’s failed military adventure in Iraq winds down. In any event, I wouldn’t necessarily count on a Democrat returning to the White House in the next presidential election.

I've been voting at the wrong place for two years, too. Maybe next year.

I really hope Hillary runs for President. Out of all the potentials she has the most of.

Guaranteed defeat. I don't mind her myself, but she is so dispised by so many people nationwide...it would be a bad idea.
