Best Board would be one of the categories you see on the first page after you log in. Best Thread is any specific discussion dead or ongoing once you drill down into a board. Probably not a distinction that needed to be made and probably doesn't require two categories, but I was on a time line, so eat it.
FYI. There are some pretty cool threads that have dropped off but still exist if you do some digging around.
