fuckin' "Korn vs Dem Franchise Boyz", whatever.
Haven't heard it. Don't wanna hear it.
I swear, I am going to do my best to get my money back on this.
I 've got my receipt (and I realize that once opened, in good shape, there's nothing the retailer can do). *however*:
I CAN at least try and call "FAKE!" on this product, and insist that it is, in fact, a corrupted effort of rehashed, unabashedly horrible garbage w/out merit in the least, and that as a real die hard fan of the band, who is used to quality material being released from them, am so appalled by this sorry excuse for a valid release, that I WANT TO SEND A MESSAGE TO THE MANUFACTURER / STUDIO / EXECS or whoever is actually responsible for this - - aye, even & ESPECIALLY KORN THEMSELVES if they truly be behind this scam - - and let them know LOUD & CLEAR that I won't stand for this kind of lowbrow, moneysucking tactics.
I will INSIST they return it w/a note that says: "Undamaged product returned, at the consumers insistence, on the basis it is irredeemably horrible in every way"

Ok, so Chopped, Screwed, Live & Unglued is the WORST PIECE OF GARBAGE I have ever had the unfortunate luck to stumble across . . . I can't believe I forked over the $26 for this abject, rehashed drivel. Disc 1: Ok, so I was wondering if these songs were the same studio versions that appear on the album, or what. Answer: NO. They are the creatively dead, horrifically bad, utterly worst-of-the-lot *REMIX PRODUCT* of one "DJ MIKE WATT" (may you burn in hell for the rest of eternity, you total degenerate). ~ Twisted Transistor has been butchered beyond belief, mainly cuz it has been S*L*O*W*E*D DOWN to a PATHETIC, drugged-out parody of the original song's intent. GONE is the liveliness; you can actually hear Jon's vocals s-l-o-w-e-d down to a crawling, low pitch that m a k e s your e a r s d--r--a--g like you've just OD'd on v-a-l-i-u-m-s, I mean, I'm not kidding here, but it becomes obvious after painfully tolerating half of the track, *that it ain't gunna stop*, that it's S-L-O-Wed down to an unbearably horrid pace for the entirety of the track, and I *pushed SKIP* ~And then HYPOCRITES was the exact same thing ! ! Fucking HORRID ! To hear Jonathan's voice dragging like a retarded ape on a cocktail of steroids & downers is UNBEARABLE. And every fuckin' ten seconds you hear cutting in " DJ MIKE WATTS! wickwick DJ MIKE WATTS! wackwack", ohmygod - - Adam - - LADY !! - - I was MORTIFIED. Thorny, you do realize that's what "chopped & screwed" music is, don't you? That it's slowed waaaay way down? It's a rap movement that started in Houston a while back and has gradually become more popular. I've heard it because a friend of mine dates a guy who listens to it, and my first thought was indeed DAMN; you have to be on drugs to enjoy this. It sounds like a dragging cassette tape. But I was curious to hear a screwed Korn remix. Still am. Wow, Lady. I honestly did not know about that. Hmmm . . . *at least there's a basis for rationalization for this, now* That gives me a *tiny* bit of relief. . . . ... yeah I'm trading this horrible product in. Should've gotten Eno's 77 Million Paintings instead. . . .

Least I can do is. . . .*gag* . . . tolerate the rest of it, dragging the depths for @least 1 shiny tidbit stuck in there. . . . could happen . . . .

Wow. Its a good thing I decided to get some DVDs instead.
I had no idea what "chopped and screwed" meant either. Doesn't sound too good. The only remix album I own is No Protection - Massive Attack vs. Mad Professor and I don't really listen to it that much.
I'll hold off.
There's no pawn shops in your area, Thorn? There's a couple of retail stores in my area that take used cds/dvds. You might not get much money back but if you're looking to really get rid of it, that would be the way to go.

Well, ya know, I don't care about the money. I've cooled off a bit. Haven't watched the bonus dvd disc yet. Will wanna at least check that out before returning it- - & if there's anything the least bit cool on there, will probably end up deciding to hang onto it (for posterity's sake, at least).

So yeah, it's this Myspace.com offer, where the first 500 myspace users who respond get 2 free ticket vouchers to the next Korn show in their area. You just have to fill out this questionaire, first. (Which I'm in the process of doing now)
So yeah . . . . . Did you see the "I Demand Korn Play In My City" thing myspace was doing? I put in my vote for Salt Lake . . .
