I was thinking someone should make a board where we can write down weird/cool dreams and share them before we forget them. Everyone is more than welcome to share.

Good idea although unless I sleepwalk out to the computer the minute my feet hit the floor some morning, I likely won't have one to post. I rarely remember them much beyond that.

I know, seems like the more you try to remember them the faster they fade. What I do (but I'm a geek) is keep a notebook by the bed so I can just roll over and write. Dreams fascinate me. My roommate, you can always tell when he's falling asleep because he starts twitching and talking... seems to be a very intense experience for him - he says he wishes he could record everything he sees and thinks in those moments just before he falls asleep. So do I.. it looks intriguing! Until I found this place in Denver I was dreaming every night of being chased and having people from years and years ago come tell me I was worthless and a fake. Thank god that's over. Now I just dream about shit like having my old dog knock me over onto a bathroom floor flooded with overflowing toilet water.

Doesn't it suck when you dream about work all night? I've been talking on the phone in my dreams all night and I woke up with the J Geils Band's "Angel in the Centrefold" stuck in my head, which is a song I hear relentlessly through the day.

Work dreams are the worst. I remember a long stretch when I was Ford's lead automatic transmission training developer, and I constantly woke up in the middle of the night trying to figure out hydraulic schematics in my dreams.

Ugh. And you always wake up so tired, lol. We need a little switch on our head to go from "Work" to "Sleep" to make sure neither one interferes with the other.

That would be nice! Although I've noticed that the farther away from the technical aspects of this field I get (and the more I move toward "executive babysitting"), the fewer work-related dreams I've had. Stress dreams, to be sure, but not directly work-related. What I want to know is -- how come in every baseball (or softball) dream I have, I always wake up right before it's my turn at bat. I'll be in the on-deck circle, bat in hand, and suddenly I'm staring at a ceiling fan, thinking: "Sonofabitch, it happened again!!"

LOL. It's probably the excitement of it that wakes you up. I wake up a lot right before something terribly exciting happens in a dream.
The boss won't be here today or tomorrow, yayyyyy! We can take our shoes off and listen to some good music for once.

Ah, the old dream board...that was a great one. That's where ekul got his proper start in the land of the drooges, with some dream I don't even remember anymore that involved all kinds of misogyny and then I pissed off Sweet. It was great.
I had some weird dream last night about some crab people that lived underwater or something. It was weird. Lots of salt in it, I remember that.

Ah, the old "crab people living underwater" dream... *sigh* Yes, many folks are undergoing this one, even as I type. And with "lots of salt in it", to boot. Luke, I can tell you a few things as to the inherent meaning of this dream. Let's break it down, shall we?
1/crabs: Crabs in your dreams, believe it or not, are a reference to love affairs. (Usually portending to lovers a long and difficult courtship.) It is also a subtle insinuation for the dreamer to avoid rivals in such affairs. So: the question for you, ekul, is simple -- are you embroiled in such a potential mess as this?
2/salt: Salt in dreams is all about preservation. Or maybe there is something that you want to enhance in your life.
3/under water: This one can be quite tricky to interpret. For one, "water" is indicative of not just sexuality, but also emotion & cleansing. "Under" can indicate losing strength or power, but also it can refer to secrecy or even restraint. My advice is to put all these various, disparate meanings together into a cohesive whole so that it makes sense to you. I.E, Perhaps there is something 'secretive' going on about a relationship you are pursuing that is already "attached" (are you about to steal someone's girl?), etc.
My advice to you luke is to soak up the various suggestions I have given you here, and piece together their meaning as it portends to your own situation. Don't forget that the crabs may be telling you to avoid such a situation...unless you are prepared for a fight (the knockout, dragdown type).
Ask yourself: is she worth it?

HA HA! Nice analysis there, thorn. Or it could just be that a love affair was recently broken off, and the woman poured "salt in the wound" by giving him crabs.
