Share your old school nostalgia.
I think the boards are definitely a worse place without Wholi around. That guy cracked me up, especially with his little shitfits ("I've had it with you lot") and he was always back in a few days. One of the funniest reads on the old RS was my movie board "Art's Rundown Border Town X-Rated Movie House". I think the only people on that board was just me, Topsy, Wholi, Snoball and Cool Poodle, and it was one laugh after another just bullshittin' around. Sucked when RS arbitrarily wiped out all the movie boards. Anyway, Wholi was truly a one-of-a-kind. I think Kathman met him once and had nothing but good things to say about him. There's someone else I wonder about--I'd like to know what ever happened to her. I hate it when people up and leave with no forwarding (e-mail) address. And who could forget that shit-obsessed Het?

No disrespect intended but I hadn't even thought about the guy until I read your post.
I'm sure he's swell and I'll be among the first to roll out the red carpet for him should he choose to post here, but I can't honestly say I miss him.
I would like to know what Mel Kathman is up to, though. I think she'd like this place a lot more than the RS.com boards.
The one I miss the most, though, is Bob Ferdman.

He used to be at robertferdman@hotmail.com but the last couple of messages I sent him there were not responded to...then again, I did NOT get a mail delivery failure notice from that addy, so maybe he still has it but just doesn't check it.

I just missed the Ferdman-aera when I discovered this site but heard a lot about him.
I particular miss FooFootheSnoo for the 'six degrees of separation'-board, Ben Peach for his thoughtful, well articulated views on Australian music and the Dwarf.
Haven't heard in ages of Toklon- hope he's OK whether he is in Mali or the States.

He also had a website (I think it was robertferdman.com) that you could contact him at, but I don't think that's up anymore. He definately tops my list of people I'd like to see return, along with Chris Chatman, Wellhung, Howe (although I guess he does pop in here from time to time) and Kathman.

Oh, yeah, Chatman! Chatman kicked Ferdman's ass! And the other poster board reminded me of Dwarf--he was a funny dude.

I was merely expressing my former enthusiasm for Chatman. But "grudges" aside, I sincerely don't understand what the big deal about Bob is/was. |

I didn't have anything bad to say 'bout Chatman, who turned out to be pretty cool, but Ferdman was something different for me. Bob was one of the guys from RS.com I'd most like to just have a beer with, and generally shoot the shit. We didn't always agree on music (I mean, he liked PHISH ferchrissakes!) but he was just a cool guy. But I'd be happy to see Chatman show up as well ...
