I didn't come here not to laugh at his cufflinks and accidentally bring up the time he shagged that dolphin.

He ran away with tunes to Sedaka.

For the record I only gave that dolphin a little tug job. Let's not make me out to a full on whore okay?

Jesus - have you heard these guys? if not i think you really need to. if you have and you hate them, humour me. very much in that modern vein that for right or wrong receives the inevitable Joy Division comparisons (Interpol, Editors et al), but with the legitimate classic Manchester spin, many of their counterparts have never really captured, whether they're trying to or not.

Never heard of it. I'll get straight on purchasing next chance - good enough for me to have those musical reference points and the R-doggydog stamp of approval.
In return, have you checked out the Spencer Perceval EP or the Progress-Reform Mini-LP by iLiKETRAiNS? Shit name, but great band - in the same post-Joy Div/Interpol arena in one part, but with an added (focused) post-rock side order. But better than it sounds from that rather poor description.

Oh yeah, and where are you? How's tunes and rocky? Not that I care about rocky, but one has to go through the motions

I also think that iLIKETRAiNS is pretty damn stellar as well. JLLM turned me onto them and I have to agree, the dude is on the money on them. They are great.
I also have to agree with Riley on The Longcut. They are a fantastic little band.

I saw you guys talking about iLIKETRAiNS and you've spurred my curiosity. Will investigate.
As for my whereabouts and others considered MIA, I'm actually just really busy at work. Been with the new company/job for about a year now, and the time demands are even greater than my last. This is good and bad.
I probably still spend proportionate time posting on both sites, which again (sadly) is fairly nominal at present. I can't speak for Tunes or Rocky, but rumour has it Rocky deleted his account here because you wouldn't engage him in a proper game of bum darts.

Yeah - that toad, work, squatting upon our lives, eh? Same here mate. And IFTM apparently has the same thing going on. Whatever happened to those carefree days when we were all basically dossers?
Still, at least Skvor still gets to post regularly. I dunno about luke though.

I post over there to the point of annoying others, I'm sure. Check here infrequently now since you've been making appearances, and to see what folks like Skvor have to say on the best of '07 board.
Rocky's pretty frequent over there. The recently rediscovered CWA spends all his time on Facebook, apparently, doubt we'll see him socializing with us anytime soon.
My posting will probably be almost non-existant once I'm back in school, but for now I've got a pretty cake office job that allows for way too much web play.

Good to see you luke. Yeah, CWA is another in the IFTM bracket of gone and remembered mainly by just a few of us now. Both those chaps had a top sense of humour though, but since CWA professes to have lost interest in music it makes a certain sense. Plus you can understand the forums not competing with all those Tokyo girls, eh?
I miss some of the old gang, but I really don't usually have the time to keep track of more than 5 or 6 threads even in this place. I thought about posting at Sedaka when I came back, but it seemed like it's thriving over there, whereas this place was eerily quiet and a bit of an endangered species, so here I am. It's nothing more profound than that really.
