GO play with all your foreign friends Kenny. See if you can make up one from Iran. I bet that would come in handy on CE soon.

Oh, and Christopher Hitchens is wrong. Bush is stupid isn't a joke. Bush is stupid is the truth. The many ways in which he displays his idiocy is funny. And people should laugh, because crying about it won't do anything.

Sorry Jac. Chalk this up to another day that is going to be a big letdown for you, not getting the flame war you've been begging anyone to engage in with you for a while now. My point is in the posts I've written on the subject. Besides, you've lost interest in what I have to say, so why would you bother to ask for my point anyway? So that was the purpose of all that? You think I've been begging for a flame war? Sheesh. You may as well not have bothered. I haven't been looking to fight, even if that's how it may have appeared on Random Top 10 about this time last week....that wasn't "JAC looking to brawl" so much as it was "JAC fulfilling a desire to vent about RocDoc's often strange usage of the English language". He's the one who made it personal when he told me to go fuck myself...then, of course, he cuts and runs (or in this case, he just didn't show up)... To be honest, I suspected some such chivalry on your part for the Doc...suspected it from the start (the 2nd post)...I mean, I was nothing if not NICE to you in my response to your first post (welcomed you to the XM Nation and all). Maybe I'm right about that, maybe I'm wrong...I don't really care much, but if you wanted a FLAME WAR you need only have asked, you syphilitic, flatulent, pus-dripping concubine of a mule.

Jac darling, to chalk my responses to you off as some sort of protective measure of Roc Doc is about the most absurd thing I've ever heard. I'd say that the thoughts that Roc Doc and I have for each other rival what Shin and I think of each other. No dear, truly -- I was responding to a post. For you to read anything deeper to it than that is more of your arrogance deluding you again.

1 - C'mon, you twisted that argument into exactly what you wanted it to be. You clubbed it over the head and drug it to a point that you consider yourself an authority on....whether or not it actually had anything to do with what Jac was saying to begin with.
2- Hitchens really doesn't even have a point with his "joke stupid people make" he was there for no other reason then insult Mahr's audience. When you're a bigger asshole then Bill Mahr you've got issues. Is it the easy joke? Sure, because Bush makes it easy. Hitchens had no other objective then to flaunt his "superiority"...why was he even there? Wasn't it you who said if you're not going to at least to contribute on a talk show why even bother showing up? Hitchens was there to be an asshole, nothing more.

So yeah, some pretty great programming on XM today. I caught a great run on XM 43 of some pretty great pop rock I haven't heard before. Pretty awesome.

Thanks, Kenny. I'm glad someone else sees this "discussion" betwen Chris and I for what it's worth (ie. Chrisfan wanting to be argumentative).
Many is the time I myself have wanted to be argumentative...just not now and not on this board.
And she never did tell me how a person "analyzes radio audiences"...I mean, I've been a radio listener for years and I've never been analyzed... Sounds like something where a LOT of assumptions must be made, and therefore a perfect job for Chrisfan.

Oh, and yeah, I have been known to be arrogant, but rarely has my arrogance deluded me. Certainly not in this case...

Jac, if your arrogance hasn't deluded you, then why exactly is it that you're so wrong?
This whole thing started from your saying that XM is "where it's at". It's apparent now that you meant "where it's at FOR YOU". I however read it to mean "where it's at" in general popularity ... more people turning to XM than anything else. THAT is the perspective from which I responded. Truly, I don't hold you in high enough regard to sit around conspiring on ways that I can twist something around in order to make it all about me. I also don't troll around from board to board looking for a fight I can jump in to, like your newly found fan club does. I participate in disucssions I'm interested in, and know something about. I don't bother with those that I'm not interested in, or don't knowmuch about ... as you know, because we've discussed before why I don't participate in many music discussions around here.
How does a person analyze radio audiences? Ever heard of Arbitron? The radio equivilent of Nielsen? They pay people a nominal fee to fill out a diary of what they listen to. That's the primary tool used. It gives you all sorts of fun info such as the age an gender of a station's listeners, the average amound of time they spend listening, etc. There are also qualitiative studies, such as Scarborough, that cross-tabuate things ever exciting such as what stations Wal Mart shoppers are most likely to listen to, and which stations listeners eat more Wendy's.
I know you didn't really want to know. But then again, you declared this morning that you don't care what I have to say ... and yet you keep on talking to me.

It seems odd that since I just hop from board to board spoiling for a fight that you and rocdoc are the only two I ever actually argue with...you and doc on the other hand seem to argue with pretty much everybody. Curious, that.
