So WhyTF aren't you out on the friggin mountain, Ski-Boy?
I saw 2" fresh snow out there yesterday on my yahoo ski reports...
Did you also see that we had 0° F (-20° C) temperature today which means that it had to be 5 to 10 degrees lower at the top of the mountain ...
We do have a big New Year's Eve party tonight so Better-Half and I had a nice, long warm afternoon nap instead of freezing our butts off ...
Finaly, there are too many tourists during the day !!

Nah, I didn't see that the temp was THAT cold....all I get is new snow and the base with this program...
Shit, I'd consider going out in that kind of cold ONLY if I had planned a vacation (and travelled) there for that week...and it would very likely be just a coupla runs and back to the lodge (or ideally a ski-in-ski-out condo) to steel myself (ie drrrink) for another coupla runs...that's what I ended up doing in the upper peninsula of Michigan a few years back when it was zero-ish.
You fortunate local yokels can pick and choose. You don't have to put yourselves through that sort of torture.

Can't win 'em all. Especially since they must have been worn out after that hardfought battle with Miami, and then the travel day in between (and poor 'Sheed had to stop in Philly on his way to Cleveland from Detroit for his cousin's funeral). They were worn out and honestly, it didn't even really look like they were trying too hard in that one. Took the night off. Still by far the best team in the NBA right now.

I'm very surprised that Dallas has whipped the Heat's ass so badly these first two games. Riley has done a great job of motivating the Heat this year, but jesus, you've got to give credit to the little man avery johnson for having the Mavs playing like maddogs. I think it will be difficult for the Heat to come back--but not IMPOSSIBLE. I'm predicting they will win two out of three in Miami. I have not been that impressed with the Heats PF Haslem. I'd like to see Riley go with Shaq at center and Zo at PF. Also the Mavs are throwing three different defenders on Wade and I think it has thrown him off his game a little. But I look for him to have a big game 3. If the Heat dont come out and make a statement by winning by a huge margain--say at least 10 points in game 3--and showing they can dominate, then the series looks very dim for them.

I predict the Heat see at least 50 FTA in game 3.

50's a lot.
Unfortunately that's 25 2-shot fouls which means you've gotta TRY to be very judicious in spreading them around which is a situation that's rarely 100% accurate. That's 4 'six-and-yer-out' ejections...even playing players in a close game with 3 or 4 or 5 fouls on them is nerve-wracking as hell.
And the Heat's going to know which Mavs players they need to run their plays at in that situation.
I wonder when the last time was that Nowitzki fouled out?

I predict the Heat see at least 50 FTA in game 3. Do you think this because the Heat will be more agressive going to the basket--or are you imply the NBA needs this series to go 6 or 7 games and the officials have been instructed to see the game a bit skewed???

So long as Shaq is going to keep missing free throws, the Mavs may as well keep fouling him...

The Heat didnt really impress me last night. If they dont win this next game its over. I'm just not seeing enough agressiveness by the Heat--especially on the defensive end. The Mavs are getting to far into the lane. I think its time the no-layup rule goes into affect and the Heat start knocking some guys around.

Eventhough the Heat blew out the Mavs, I have to say the Mavs are still the series favorites. Although I picked the Heat fromthe very beginning of the season to win it all, and I'm not changing my tune now. Two fo the last three games are in Dallas. The Mavs have to be the favorites to win game 5--since they NEVER loose three games in a row. If that's the case, then that would mean the Heat have to win the final two games in Dallas. This makes Game 5 a must win for the Heat. I think it's gonna be a good game--but the Heat have to come out fighting.

Big Win for the Heat last night! Wade is better than Jordan--there I said it. Actually he's just as good as Jordan, but a much better PERSON than Joradan could ever dream of being. So in my mind that makes him better. He's also a million times better than Kobe. With that said, Dallas should win game 6, which will mean it all comes down to game 7 in Dallas. That will be a game that could really define Wade as one of the all-time Greats.

I was off by my 50 FTA prediction by two games.
The NBA is a joke right now. Wade's good. He also gets to the line if opposing teams so much as breath on him. He had as many attempts as the whole Mavs team last night.
I really couldn't care less who wins. But I like watching good NBA, and this is a far cry from that.
Also, claiming Wade is as good as MJ is beyond stupid. I can't even tell if you're serious or not, to be honest.

Also, claiming Wade is as good as MJ is beyond stupid. I can't even tell if you're serious or not, to be honest. At this point in his career he's much better than Jordan. Jordan was primarily a ball hog and a hihg flying scorer(ala domique wilkins or tracy mcGrady or Kobe Bryant) until Phil Jackson became head coach of the Bulls. Wade is a great passer. He has a great head for the game, he's a team player. He's quick, he's strong, he has a great touch, amazing body control and plays to win. However, I admit that there is one thing that seperted Jordan from everyone else, and that was his ability to make 'em when they count. When he was in his prime his determination and his physical ability allowed him to do that. Right now, Wade is showing that same characteristic. In game one and two Avery Johnson was sending 3 or 4 guys with fresh legs at Wade, but Wade has been able to overcome it. If he can rise to the occasion in one of the final two games, then he deserves series MVP and a rightful place on that top echelon with Jordan, Magic, Bird, etc.
