Here is a board for all the people that happen to bet or are interested in seeing what other posters bet. I figure that poker will be a popular topic here.

The World Series of Poker starts tomorrow. I heard that you can watch it live on your computer for like $15. It will be shown on espn two weeks later. I wish they showed this shit live, the ratings would be through the roof. Apparently espn gets sick ratings for repeats even a year after the tourney is over. Poker has gone mainstream. More "dead money" for me

I dunno, man, I watch poker on TV and I just see a bunch of dudes playing cards. And then I feel really bad for the people in the audience, because at least we viewers at home have those announcers. They just have to sit in the stands and watch some dudes play cards.

I had some people over for poker last night. I won the first hold'em tourney for $100 win. I got knocked out of the 2nd one pretty early. By then I was so hammered that i had no business playing anyway. Everybody left after the 2nd tourney which was good because no way would I have been able to hang in there and win with the buzz I had going

I wouldn't reccommend gambling to anybody but if you just want to fuck around and try to make a couple of bucks I can give you some pointers/books that you might be interested in.
For poker, the bible of poker books is "Super System" by Doyle Brunson. Anybody who has ever played serious poker must own this book. It is a bit pricy but it is worth every penny. try to find it used.
Another great poker book is "Positively 5th Street" by James McManus. It only deals with Texas Hold'em but is a great read.
For sports gambling I suggest one book. It is called "The Odds" by Chad Millman. After reading it you will figure out that gambling on games isn't worth the stress. Perhaps the most fun I've evr had reading though.
Any questions about casino games you can just ask me. I was a dealer on a casino boat for over a year and I know every basic rule that a gambler should know about blackjack, roulette, craps, etc.. I've also been a proffessional gambler for over 5 years now. For the last month I've taken a break so i can build a bankroll for football season. I'm just playing poker right now but i'm sure I will put some cash on the upcoming NBA Conference Finals games.
