Back to the Coreys for a second - it's a close call for me. Feldman gets uber-points for being in Goonies, Gremlins, Stand by Me and the 'Burbs. He also gets points for being on Bad News Bears and Married with Children. However, he was on Surreal Life and got married by MC Hammer. So he loses points there. Corey Haim also gets points for Lost Boys, one of the best movies of all time. However, he never closed his mouth and thus always looked like a mildly-retarded mouth breather. I could never get past this. Plus, he now looks like this. Ergo, Haim loses. And yes, I put way too much thought and energy into this.

Happy New Year to all ladies and gents! Hope you all had a mighty fine evening. I singled out Layla last night as she would have been the only one to have passed the clock's chime already. Our NYE was typically low key. This was the first year we did not have a small child in the house and we were all pumped up to party - but then my Dad went and gave us his crappy cold and we were both too ill. Cheers Dad JLLM and I are doomed with New Years, still, maybe next year.......

Bah ! Don't feel too bad ...
I slept through most of our party (23h00 --- 00h30)
That's what happen when you drive 800 kms in sleak and snow in less than 36 hours the day before ...
I stayed up just long enough to have a taste of that famous "Maple Sugar Cake"
The one still big and rich enough to feed a Small Third World Country !
After tonight's New Year dinner with the in-laws and Better-Half Birthday Bash in four days I'm hibernating for the next 2½ months !!

Our New Years is always pretty low-key, and that's sort of how I like it. I hate New Years parties, to be honest. So we went out for dinner, watched a couple movies, listened to music, played Monopoly (losers, yes) and then brought in the New Year in the best possible way. Hope everyone had fun! And hope you and JLLM are feeling better soon, Dolly.

Thanks Doll & Happy New Year back. Hope you feel better soon matie I've never really been into the hype of NYE - theres always so much expectation & pressure, like it has to be the night of nights & nothing can go wrong. My friends get way into it, but we still go out a lot anyway, so NYE is just a more drunken affair. But Sydney has one of the biggest fireworks shows in the world & its a party city, so its also hard to not get caught up in NYE fever. This time though, I was in bed by 2am, I didn't lose my purse or break my shoes, I didn't even spill wine down myself. Sweet. You Europeans always get there first.Which is the first country time-wise? Japan? Ryo has been in 2007 longer than any of us (besides New Zealanders).
