Anyhow, I hope everyone's 2007 is a fantastic one Is this the thread where the ladies make out?No, sorry. The whole "cute girl" thing is just a cover for our renegade freedom fighter organisation. Don't let the good looks fool you. Doll isn't really a teacher, she's the head of our black-ops division.

If those are your legs, Layla. Then I hate you.

Hello ladies - hope you're all doing well. This board has been slow. Anybody any news/gossip of a feminine nature? I've been all about Economic theory and educating the underpriveledge masses these last few weeks. I'd love my life back sometime soon.

wow. this board really has been dead. *drops flower upon the pale corpse of the lady board, and proceeds to deliver a magical chant which will help it rise from the grave once it has discovered the secret of true feminity.*

true 'dat. they were the ones who kept it interesting. both are smart, interesting, and shexy ladies with good taste in music... although layla has ONE minor flaw: i heard that a while back she was bashing cat power. i missed it. wish i would have been their to defend... if anyone has not guessed, i love her.

and I you, La.
"lived in bars" is my fav from her latest album. has your best friend made you listen to it? makes me want to do her in a room full of wet body paints, grass, and sunlight. okay, the fact that she wrote the song makes me want to do that, but the song itself simply inspires me to make lots of art.
who is your favorite female vocalist?

I love many femme vocalists (I seek them out, which has probably made me dislike Crap Power more so than normal, b/c I take it personally when I feel a sister isn't intensely great, for I invest so much time in discovering them). But my heart forever belongs firstly to PJ Harvey. I'm glad you're inspired by C. Power. And yeah, I've kinda been forced to listen to most her stuff & I was even dragged to see her live. That show really cemented my dislike of her, b/c it was terrible & I wanted to slap her. But its ok, because my friend can't stand the Gorillaz, so I make sure to play them whenever she is over. She's a good mate

PJ Harvey is a goddess. As for Cat Power performing badly live, I'm sure that's entirely possible as she's a bit of a schizo and, as legend has it, tends to flip out now and then. Still, I think she has more soul than the majority of female vocalists out there... Her music is so personal, and the lyrics often have so much depth. I love haunted voices too, (like will oldham's...) voices that are not perfect....voices that slip and meander every now and then.. Chan Marshall's intimate lullabyesque vocals are incredbily attractive to me.
love the gorillaz, too.

If I were a pained singer-songwriter, I would love to have you as a fan, S. But my talents are more within campy Broadway-esque arenas...maybe if I ever get to star in a one-woman Moulin Rouge show, you could attend
