And I were being attacked by a shark, or had my leg tangled in seaweed, I would hope this man would arise from the surf & rescue me. All I ask is that he remove the chic swimming trunks beforehand. They're so cumbersome & may hinder the rescue.  |

If I were a pained singer-songwriter, I would love to have you as a fan, S. But my talents are more within campy Broadway-esque arenas...maybe if I ever get to star in a one-woman Moulin Rouge show, you could attend  aha! 'tis finally revealed... your dislike for cat power stems from a general disdain for all types that might be pegged into the "pained singer-songwriter" camp. this explains a lot about you. while i do think a lot of trollops and dick-faces try to roast weenies in this camp, there are also some genuinely strong and powerful personas conducting marvelous cermonies on behalf of the human spirit with their strange fires. |

cool. i'm gonna look it up later to see what it's about. i love norman mailer. right now i'm getting references together to apply to become a metal fabricator tomorrow. it'll be a cool skill to have. i've always wanted to learn to weld, and at the place where i'm applying i'll get to do decorative work, which is cool. (hopefully sometime soon i'll be able to begin seriously supplanting my income with artwork. i'm getting a cafe gig soon where i can sell sell-out decporative crap that ain't my real artwork, and i'm nearly finished with two of the projects i have in the works for my more serious stuff. i just have to go get it into a gallery. i already have one offer.)

that's great. weren't you applying to a masters program this year? ughh. don't remind me. alas, i have been researching it, but i chickened out for this year. i just have to get closure on a few projects. i'm now planning to apply for fall of 2008 (applications due by Jan 2008) my friends have been doing the same thing. we need to form a support group. |
