Shit, how could I possibly turn down this offer?! Ya know - actually - I have enough frequent flyer miles that I could probably go to toronto for free. seriously. hmmmmmmmmmm OK, all joking aside, how cool would that be? Seriously. Except for you coming back here and telling everyone that all I did all night was drool and giggle everytime Mike Ness spoke.

hate to break it to you tuneschick, but don't get too hot and bothered over mike ness. those pics you posted have to be at least ten years old.
not wanting to put a damper on your enthusiasm. just hoping you'll be prepared.

OK, now you've got me all excited. When is this show?? You do know I'm not taking any classes or teaching this semester, right? And thus, have a completely wide open schedule? And a potentially free flight to Toronto? And no conferences until the spring? We could drink and argue about whether Nick Cave or Mike Ness is cuter, and trade music, and talk shit about Shane Simpson er I mean discuss how much we love all rs.commers... NP: Neurosis & Jarboe (song: Erase) Cheers, M

Shane, uh, I think you're confusing the reasons why you would go to vancouver with the reasons why i might want to go to vancouver... hot asian chicks?? I reckon that in shane's world every time two young women meet it's a hot lesbian scene just waiting to happen. I can't fault him for that...

(d)You were like a cloud/Yes You are a Flower you move /I love life is all we need/then you were a Lime/Now Our Love is Sour("Song 7" B-Side) There's "so bad it's funny". Then there's even worse than that, where it just gets excruciating. This lyric is about as welcome as protuding anal polyps. Thank fuck they hid it on a B-side.

Oz has got elections coming up- John Howard's trying to get re-elected and after the shameful way he got into office last time around (claiming refugees on boats just outside of the Australian coast were 'blackmailing' customs officers to take them on boatrd of their vessels by throwing their children overboard- that claim and his political manipulation of a situation that turned out to be completely fabricated, made people 'harden' their stance against illegal aliens and gave him the electoral victory) I sincerely hope he gets the boot.
I am not allowed to vote because I am a resident not a citizen, but if Mark Latham, the Labour-opponent wins the election (and he lies in front in the polls), I will become a citizen.

You men are always trying to burst my bubble. Damn you all! OK, in all seriousness, I actually HAVE seen recent photos of Ness (including when they interviewed him in The Big Takeover, last year I think it was) - and I STILL find him really, really sexy. So I don't think I'll be disappointed - especially if he wears a cowboy hat. Mmmm... Mary seriously - how fun would that be? I totally forgot that you weren't taking classes or teaching this semester! The show is October 25 (a Monday) at the same bar where I saw Nick Cave, Echo and the Bunnymen and the Psychedelic Furs (although I'm actually not that fond of the place itself, and it has one of the worst names a bar could possibly have.) And I just found out last night that one of my best friends from back home is coming down for the show with her boyfriend because he's apparently a HUGE Social D fan, so it should be a good time. Besides, I can only imagine all the cute punk rock boys who will be at this show (if I can manage to take my eyes off the stage for even half a second). Lots of black-haired, tattooed rockabilly types in black t-shirts and leather jackets, I'm thinking... hmmm... maybe it IS better if Steve stays home that night! (kidding, kidding, of course.)

Not a bad plan Phil - Mike Ness beats a male stripper anyday. And that makes me think once again of how great it would be to have all the RS girls in one place... sigh, how I wish I was rich and could just randomly buy plane tickets for people.
And very cool, lukekul (sorry, I don't know what to call you anymore - this luke thing sounds so foreign to me.) We will indeed drink some bevvies and leer at some cute punk rock boys in your honour.
Er... OK, you know what I mean.

Yeah, it would be great if we could have all the rs.com posters in one place. But of course it'll never happen. My birthday is October 28, three days before Halloween. ;D

Yet I'm a year ahead of you, school-wise (I graduated HS in 2002). Probably because the cut-off date for Woodbridge Twp. schools when I was a kid was December 1.
