Cowboy hat theft? All cowboy hats should be destroyed.
And Riley, I realized just now that the Verve actually has two songs, although I can't remember the non-Bittersweet-Symphony one. You don't want to pick a fight with me. I carry mace.

"The Drugs Don't Work" "Sonnet" "Lucky Man" "Slide Away" "On Your Own" "History" "A New Decade"
Were all singles I believe, and clearly more well received in their homeland, but The Verve admittedly are a band best viewed in the context of their whole body of work and the flow/feel of each respective album.

Radiohead by a trillion light years. I know I might be laughed at for this but my 2nd pick would be Travis. They're very..... But seriously, I'm not kidding.

My ranking goes like:
1. Radiohead 2. Suede 3. Pulp 4. Blur 5. Oasis 6. Cure 7. Travis 8. Manics (sorry, don't care for 'em) 9. Prodigy (ugh) 10. Take That ... ... ... ... ... 99. Verve

Suede's number 2 position being limited to the years that they had Bernard Bulter with them. After that, they'd rank slightly above the Verve.

Saw the other day that Brian Eno is working with Travis on their next album. A little surprised by that one... They may now actually get me to purchase it.

I have to agree with Ryo's "can't take to them" comment with regards to the Manic Street Preachers... what is it that seems so cardboard bland about their sound... I just find myself totally unsatisfied... maybe its just me, because I know alot of people who really like their stuff...

I'd like to give those old Verve albums a spin again sometime. And I wish I still had that Stone Roses CD . . .
