Yeah, as long as Phil and Bowiglou are here, I'm not the oldest guy at RS ...erm, RSjunior?  And, as a percentage of my life, I haven't spent nearly as much time on the boards as Mary or Rocky, who've been doing this for nearly as long but are soooooo much younger than I. ;D OK, I've used waaaaay too many smileys in this post ... I wish I had good musical taste in high school. I was all caught up in the gangsta rap during those years(90-93) so i didn't really get to experience the music scene at the time. It sucks cause all of my favorite bands basically came out during that time. I still loved blasting Str8 Outta Compton out of my 78 Olds Omega anyway but it would have been nice to be blasting Nirvana instead. See what happens when you don't smoke any weed until college?

Ken, you & I are the same age. ;D By the time I was a senior in highschool, I owned the following albums on vinyl:~Every last Pink Floyd and Floyd-related album available, bar none. [This means I had Music From The Body w/Ron Geesin; Ficticious Sports by Nick Mason; Both David Gilmour solo outings; Richard Wright's Wet Dream, the soundtrack for When The Wind Blows, and a host of rare bootlegs including a triple-disc live boot of THE WALL from Nassau, painstakingly inscribed by hand on the labels (the cover was a huge crossed- Hammer Symbol -- I still have that one)] I started my foray into music by becoming an obsessive-compulsive Pink Floyd fanatic, and to this day I label myself, above all other things, a "Floyd Casualty".~I owned every single studio release from the following bands, w/out exception: Jethro Tull
Led Zeppelin
Aerosmith
David Bowie
Rush
Yes
And I was way into: Black Sabbath Peter Gabriel Alice Cooper Boston The Pretenders Iron Maiden AC/DC Van Halen King Crimson and the like. A few Foreigner, ELO, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Uriah Heep, and such albums dribbled into my collection. By '84 I was getting into The Buzzcocks XPatti Smith The Vapors The Sparks Trio Kraftwerk, etc. It wasn't until college that a friend of mine got me into BRIAN ENO, and my life, (not to mention how I perceived it) was never the same again. [ eno is the sole entity that secretly trumps floyd for me] I got into ROXY MUSIC, LOU REED, THE VELVET UNDERGROUND, IGGY POP, and began expanding out to the likes of Generation-X, Jason & the Scorchers, The Alarm, REM, The Waterboys, etc. [glow=Maroon,2,300]*SlipKnot kicks ass, deal with it*[/glow]  |

Yeah, that's why I put "PunkChick" at the bottom of all my posts. I used the name PunkChick when I first applied to be a member here, but I never got the email w/the password needed to log in. I was really frustrated, so I tried it again with a different name and my other email address, and it worked.
