I have quite a few of their songs on mixed CDs and mixed tapes but I don't actually own any of their albums. I see people all the time claim that their "favorite" is not always what they would consider to be "the best". That's why I left it open for you to pick the best OR your favorite, whichever you choose. I've never understood this as I always considered my favorite to be the best. Hope that doesn't mean I have a big head.

I voted for De Stijl, but could have gone for Elephant on a different day.
Here's how I'd rank them: 1) De Stijl 2) Elephant 3) Get Behind Me Satan 4) The White Stripes 5) White Blood Cells
The top three are awfully close to each other, and honestly, IMO, all five CDs are at least 4 star efforts. One of my favorite current bands, and probably the most important band in my life in the last 6 years or so, as they had a huge impact on who I was hanging out with, what I was doing with them, and where I was going throughout my college years.

Well, I was introduced through White Blood Cells so it's a bit sentimental, but Elephant is right there
1a. White Blood Cells 1b. Elephant 2. Get Behind Me Satan 3. De Stijl 4. The White Stripes
They're all so good and each have their own specific place within the Stripes sound. I can't imagine a world without Jack & Meg.

candy cane girl, don't you know your name girl! 364 tears girl!
anyone remember that part in coffee and cigarettes where meg and jack white meet up for coffee, and jack drags his machine for measuring the earth's accoustical ressonance "all the way down" in his "little red wagon?"
loved that.
love them.
nope. no world without the white stripes.
