This is a tough one. For me at least. There are a few fans around here. I'm just curious to see where everyone stands on their studio output. I only picked studio albums, because as some may know, Ween live is an entirely different animal. Not even the same phylum.

Chocolate and Cheese for me, baby. "Baby Bitch", "A Tear For Eddie", "What Deanor Was Talking About." I really do like "The Stallion Pt.3" off of Pure Guava, though. And "I Don't Want It," whatever album that's on.

Toss-up between ChocCheese and the Mollusk and I went for the latter- The Blarney Stone brings a tear to me eye.

I do think a song that is hysterically funny is that "Loving You" song. ".....thick and snow....rain and thin...."

I think the number one spot is a toss up between Quebec and The Mollusk. Chocolate and Cheese was definitely their first album to see some decent production. Okay, here's how I rank them.
1. Quebec 2. The Mollusk (this is a close second.) 3. Chocolate and Cheese 4. White Pepper 5. Pure Guava 6. GodWeenSatan 7. 12 Golden Country Greats 8. The Pod
Now, provided that the Shinola albums aren't proper albums, I didn't rank Vol. 1. If it counts, it would fall between The Mollusk and Chocolate and Cheese. It's that good. Just not a true album. The Pod takes last place only because of its nearly unbearable production. Some really great songs on there, but they just don't shine the way they should have. GWS and Pure Guava also see some of these problems; they're not nearly as bad as the shitty production on The Pod. That's where Chocolate and Cheese really sticks out. It signified a major change for Deaner and Gener. So what do they do? A fucking country album. Brilliant. And that one ain't bad either. I'd venture to say that Ween haven't a bad album to their name. A few songs here and there don't fit, but once they got to The Mollusk, they started to dabble in consistency, which they only get better and better at. Every single album they've done is a fun listen. No other way to describe it really. I'm sure you guys agree. It's easy to tell that they're just two guys having fun with their abilities. Why they stand out from most novelty acts, I think, is because they are just so damned talented. Fantastic musicians, both of them. To see them live is an experience all its own. To meet them and talk to them is nearly a religious experience. If any of you have seen them live or like myself, have had the pleasure of meeting them then you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. No other band quite like Ween.
I ramble and blather about Ween like an obsessed school girl. Sorry 'bout that.
