With a long overdue visit to Halifax, yours truly and Doc Drum both had the opportunity to meet the lovely Tuneschick.
Unfortunately we didn't all get to meet up together and there are no photos to prove she was here. Let there be no mistake however, that Ms. Tunes is every bit as lovely, classy and completely cool and likable as everyone here would have anticipated.

The other unfortunate part is we weren't able to confirm that I in fact can drink more beer than she can, but I think that probably goes without saying.

I'll pay you later for saying such nice things. It was really too bad we couldn't have worked out a way to all get together at once for some beers (and it would have been awesome to drag Shane Simpson into the mix too), but my trip to the coolest city in Canada was made that much better by getting to hang out with both of you. Both awesome guys, exactly like I figured you would be (and yes everyone, Riley is indeed even more stylish than he lets on.) And I got to meet Drum's dog, which is also pretty cool. Now if you guys could get to work finding Steve and I some work out there so we can move out of this hellhole, I'd be forever grateful.

Nice try, you bastard.
(c'mon now - does that not sound like the language of a completely lovely and classy girl? It's so obvious.)

OK, my post was intended to follow Mantis', but somehow it's way funnier following Drum's.

Yeah I'm not fighting that one either. It's regional genetics.

Excellent. Makes me feel like breaking into a chorus of "We'll Rant and We'll Roar Like True Newfoundlanders".

I'm actually pretty sure I sang along to that on Thursday night at the Lower Deck. I can't say for sure, since I was barely functioning at the time, but there was a fairly large Newfoundland contingent sitting up at the front and I think it was dedicated to them.
But I did definitely belt out Whiskey in the Jar pretty good. And I was happy that the token Stan Rogers tune of the night was Mary-Ellen Carter instead of Barrett's Privateers.

I believe you were able to figure out what to do with a drunken sailor as well. That's the most important thing.
