Pat keep it up, the first few days are rough but then its cake. Just remember that you have already gotten this far so obviously you can do it. One thing you did have going for you is that didn't you say you didn't smoke in the house? That helps with not wanting one on the computer, or watching TV, etc. My thing was in the car, that took a while to forget about.
Keep on keeping on. It really is a great feeling to be free of it. Aand I LOVE being a non smoking snob looking down at all the stinky simple peasants now. ;D

Actually, I think I'm more in shock of being a moderator!
HEAR THAT MA? I'VE GOT A TITLE NOW!!!
Does it come with a ceptor? I've always wanted a ceptor!
A light ceptor! Yeah. That would be cool.
Night two was not as bad as night one. I've only had 4 pieces of nicotine gum today.
Been listening to Billy Joel: Greatest Hits 1972-1997 tonight as worked my service commitment. Stamping 1000 pieces of lit with the area help line phone #'s. Will distribute all the lit next week at the sub-committee meeting. Stepped up as Area Chair as well so basically will be manning the lit area of service for 2005.
Joel's 4 disk album is great. Only listened to disks one and two thus far (disk one twice) and can honestly say "The Stranger" is one of the best songs I have ever in my life heard. Right up there with Campbell's "Rhinestone Cowboy" Diamond's "Forever in blue-jeans" and Springsteens' "Born To Run." "Captain Jack, Only the good die young, piano man," etc. What a great album. A must have in any music connoisseurs c.d. collection.

Gosh, hasn't been this long since I had a cigarette since I was nineteen when I served a five day stretch in county.
This is different though. This quit is of my own free will. And thats the difference.
Started Sandford's "Hidden Prey" tonight. Hope its as good as "Naked Prey."

Only one piece of nicotine gum so far today.
Think I'll go rent a movie. Anyone have any suggestion for a good movie?

Hmmmmm...
I often wonder what to type... Hey Pat, good luck on the smoking thing. I'm trying to quit as well, I think this would be my 400th time quitting, but it doesn't seem to be going so well. I have smoked about 1/3 less than I usually do, but it still isn't great. I'm getting the patch next week seeing as my workplace is gonna pay for it, so that should help.
I wasn't gonna post, but I done did notice you have a board, so I guess if I post up in this bitch ever, it'll be here.
How ya doing otherwise and shit?

Hey Slark/Matt/Matheus. How the hell are ya? This is my first time quitting of my own free will. Or maybe its my H.P.'S will, who-knows? Going on day four now with the mint nicotine gum. Two pieces so far today. Started at about 8 pieces and have gradually reduced the amount. Pop in a big red stick (heh-heh) of gum now and again to get used to switching over to regular chewing gum in the long run.
Day two was the worst for some reason. Day three not as bad, day four even less bad. Its great not dropping a lit cigarette in my wheels going 70 down the highway. That or dropping a cigarette wearing shorts going 70 down the highway in my wheels. Or missing the slightly open window for draft and missing the edge of the window and spraying myself with cigarette cherry pieces. Thats a real drag.
My wheels smell better. My breathe smells better. My breathing is not as tight or constricted. Yeah the pro's definately outweigh the con's buddy.
Take It Easy Matt.
BTW: On your web-page is that design the tree of life or the tree of knowledge? Curious.
Pat.

No vote for the next Pope huh? Guess Ratzinger didn't pull in the 77% needed. I'll tell ya though, that Cardinal is kinda old to be a Pope. An old Pope. LOL.
Any day he could croak. Need a younger Pope.

BTW Slark: Most of the names on the tree are spelled incorrectly. Its: keter, chochman, binah, chesed, gvurah, tiferet, netzach, hod, yesod, malchut. According to "Taming Chaos" by: Kabbalist Rav P.S. Berg that is...

Hmmmmm...
I'd be interested in hearing what you have to say about Kabbalah, Pat. No one that I know really has much of any idea of what it's about, so I can't discuss things with them easily.
Personally, I'm at odds with it. I think a lot of the principles are great, truly profound. I've had most of the principles long before I ever picked up a book on Kabbalah (some 7 years ago). I can pick them out of Christianity, The Matrix, Star Wars, and general life situations. I don't necessarily think it's anything NEW to me, or anyone who chooses to make it their "faith."
The Kabbalah Centre itself baffles me. Kabbalah doesn't seem like something that should be shrouded in all of the "new age" stuff that they're putting around it. Meditating on Hebrew Letters without knowing what they mean? It would be great and stuff, but I'm not really sure if letters are the "DNA of the soul."
What do I like about Kabbalah? Mostly the fact that it puts into words something people should know anyway. People should know that their own perspective and attitudes and reactions truly affect their place in the world and that of others. It's not that bloody hard to understand. I've always been a bit of a hippy, but you'd have to be a complete retard not to know that negativity begets negativity. Period.
I dunno. You seem to be into it, and I'm kinda wondering what you have to say about it.
As for the website... ever evolving. And the symbolism is nothing more than that. A bit cheeky at times, a bit serious, and I guess people can distinguish where they like. I'm a post-modern guy living in a post-modern world and I ain't owning up to shit.
Didn't know that the words were wrong and stuff, and if I could change it, I would, but it looks oh so cool the way it is.
