Well, folks, that was me. . . I"m all logged on now. Anyhow, I noticed that patlogi asked "Who's Albert Fish" at the very end of pg 1 - - and I missed it, and I don't think anyone answered. IF I already did answer, then please forgive me doing so again. Albert Fish was one of the first serial killers. He butchered and ate children. Here is a link with more information than you probably want to know: www.prairieghosts.com/fish.htmlFor the real in depth story, and if you like True Crime books, Harold Schecter's DERANGED is indispensable.

I've read On Writing 5 times now, Thorn. It's one of my favorites. I love when he discusses some of his books, like The Stand, The Dead Zone and Carrie.

Life is strange. Took a while to pick up Buick 8 again. Bud of mine was killed, his cruiser hit by a semi. If you've read the book I don't have to tell you why I had to put it down for a bit. He was buried on Friday. Don't know if I'll finish it, mixed feelings.

I can't blame ya for being freaked out . . . ...but the book is worth finishing, imo. Rockkid: I'm very sorry to hear about your friend. My condolences

New issue of Smithsonian Mag arrived this week. Great article on Matisse and his models. Read it on the commode. Great bowel movement material. Besides Smithsonian the only other one I read is RollingStone magazine. Also great BM material...

Am reading the October 2005 issue of HIV Plus. It's a good read for up-to-date info on HIV treatments. Filled with lots of self-help info. Just got back from the Doc's office. My latest labs are very good. Viral load non-detectable (again) and a 650 t-cell count. Theres a HIV vaccine 'study' going on for HIV + people that I plan on participating in in 2007. The study was originally developed by Salk (the polio Doc') and has recently re-immerged as a new trial. 2006 will be the year that I undergo the HEP C treatment. Hopefully that will be a success.
