That last movie Robin Williams made. About the guy that edited lives. So memorable I already forgot the title.

Last movie I saw in the theater was The Upside of Anger. I really really liked it. It was one of those movies with very likable characters and not a whole lot of plot.
DVD-wise, I rented Old School Friday night. When I returned A Cool Dry Place to Blockbuster yesterday, I ended up buying Dodgeball, Elf, and Anchorman in a buy 2 get 1 free previously viewed deal. I watched Dodgeball last night. Can you tell I"m on a mindless comedy kick?

I don't think you can count Closer. I think you have to watch a movie all the way though in order to say you've seen it.

I think that Robin Williams movie was "The Final Cut" Rockkid. I've searched blockbuster and hollywood video and neither carry "The World According To Garp." A real travesty. Thats a beautiful, thought-provoking movie. Made me really like him for serious roles after "Mork & Mindy." I cried.

I hate it when chains don't carry older titles like that! There are so many of those movies that will just pop into your mind from time to time, and you really want to see them, search the shelves, and nothing! I'm definitely one of those people who in a situation like that, will end up buying the stupid movie somewhere so that I can watch it that one time ... and then end up never watching it again. I'm only half embarassed to admit that a few years ago, after returning from Las Vegas where I saw Rick Springfield, I really wanted to see Hard to Hold ... but couldn't find it to rent anywhere. I ended up ordering it from Amazon. About six months later, I discovered that I alreayd had it on tape ... twice. So now I have three copies of that horrible movie!
The obscure titles is one of the only things that could finally get me to bite the bullet and subscribe to NetFlix. I wish they had a way that you could subscribe on more of a per-use basis. Then I'd do it. I just want to be able to not spend on entertainment in months where money is tighter.

If they ever did a per basis charge it would be too expensive, probably soak you for 5 bucks a movie.
LMAO at all the Hard To Holds you have!

But I'd rather pay $5 to watch the obscure title I have stuck in my mind once then to pay $19.99 (because the old obscure titles are NEVER bargain basement DVDs) to own it forever just because I want to watch it once.

That’s true. Why don’t you check out their site and see what you think? There is a rep from there on my radio show and he says its 17 bucks but I get charged 19 something for some reason. I never did get my free Guys Gone Wild dvd that made me sign up for that thing in the first place either!

I've looked at their site before. But I would rather pay less money for HBO each month then to lock in on a fee for movie rentals.

Popped in at the local Hollywood ("where the son is shinin' like you knew it would...") video store and picked up "Lemony Snicket's A Series Of Unfortunate Incidents" (we all know how that is right?) and "Meet the fockers." Am watching Lemony Snicket right now. Looks promising.
Anyone see both these films? Any comments?
