I am taking the summer off, mostly because of need. I need to maintain my sanity. I never had a tough time with school as far as the work goes, but I have a tough time maintaining all my other pursuits along with school. It makes it difficult, and the vacation will be nice.

No it isn't. The Kabbalah does nothing more than take the very tenets of Christianity and put it in other words. What Kabbalah proposes is nothing more than what is already evident in Christ. Christ brings a person to the "Light" of God. The one thing that I find most interesting is that the Jews believe that the Messiah hasn't come yet because Jesus did not bring peace on earth. As it is prophecied in Revelation he will do that when he comes back. They might not consider him their Messiah now, but in the future, and as it is prophecied, he ultimately will become the Jewish Messiah because he already is. They just don't know it yet.

I couldn't help but notice Amp mentioning the fact that Madonna annoys him or something nowadays... well, it's probably because she's a democrat and doesn't find christ to be her lord and saviour. I agree about Madonna's music being lazy these days. A friend of mine burnt me a copy of Confessions a few months back, and although I will admit it was an interesting listen for a couple of weeks, I can't bring myself to listen to it now. The songs are just [impressive] beats and bleeps with lazy lyrics without any memorable hooks. The only melody that seems to stick is "Hung Up" and that's only because it's an ABBA tune. It is wonderfully produced though, sounds great through a good sound system, but like I said, the songs are lacking. Track 2 is the best thing on the record. If Madonna was aiming to just make a pretty good dance record with no real substance then she succeeded. If she wanted to make an actual 'comeback' with some nice little pop tunes then she failed miserably. No other song on the album stands a chance of becoming a hit on the pop charts. Not even that "Jump" tune Pat's been raving about. Sorry, but that bad Vogue rehash kinda sucks...  |

I think Madonna was just trying to make a dance record... it's her fanbase. American Life, even though it was a bomb by most people's standards, had 7 #1 hits in the Dance/Club Play Chart... she knows her real fanbase, and it sure isn't the fickle pop fans of America.
Radio won't play here in America anyway... what's the point of her going out of her way to make a huge comeback here. Fuck America... they can keep their hip-hop crap.

'Erotica', the album, rules. Critics be damned... Actually, come to think of it, I think its the last Madonna masterpiece [IMHO]. And no, I'm not overlooking 'Ray Of Light'. I just don't think it's aged as well as 'Erotica' has...

Well, the cool thing about "Confessions" and "RoL" is that they're cohesive efforts. All the songs on those albums belong together. For that alone, I give her props. It's just like "Erotica." Cohesive. Only problem with those albums is that you have to have an attention span longer than a song... because that's when it all comes together... IMO.

Yeah, the video came out... "Get Together." It's basically footage from her KOKO gig make into a cartoon, and yes, you can see the part with her hands in her pants. It fits perfectly with the song, which I always saw as this spacey kind of thing.
