I actually hate seaweed (I hate miso soup too - maybe they should revoke my Japanese citizenship!) - but the powdered ones they put on potato chips aren't that bad.
The octopus and squid chips sound pretty yummy to me.

totally unrelated to anything here except Phil putting up pics of odd chips, but explain why the hell I find this on my grocer's shelf: ......c'mon, you'd think they could call it SOMEthing else!

Ayinger-Spotted Dick is huge in the UK. Always has been....I wont touch it myself. If your grocer stocks that shit, hook up the Sticky Toffee Pudding (also by Heinz)--BAD ASS. In a can no less. Where do you shop???

Rocky-Spotted Dick is a (to me, cos I do not like raisins) disgusting dessert served in the UK mainly. Any respectable pub that serves food serves that shit, and I just could not see myself getting a dessert of Spotted Dick. Like the Heinz Can says--a sponge cake with raisins...But, if you go into their version of Wal Mart (ASDA) they sell it FROZEN! "Dont Forget the Spotted Dick Lurve!"
Theres also a dish called Toad In A Hole--which actually kicks ass--which consists of Yorkshire Pud (there we go again with the sexual references in fod) (Pudding--its like a huge American popover) with sausages and gravy. Though the name is questionable, its good--if you arent a vegetarian--I guess you can get the "soy block in a hole" i guess...
Im gonna get a british cookbook soon and serve this up in my household. Beans on Toast kicks ass. Mushy peas rock. Bisto gravy is AWESOME (granules--you throw a couple tablespoons in some water and viola! (i had a three year run where I had to dip my sandwiches in that shit every day--thank God I worked out every day)
I love Polynesian food too. Poncit (sp)--clear noodles with meat and vegetables--throw some lemon on that--its so good!

I love that I stood in line for 2 and a half hours to vote, and so did thousands of other people. That kicked ass. I didn't care I was starving -- by the time I got to the actual booths I was completely giddy with excitement and hypoglycemia!

Samps……….. Peppermint schnapps. Also put a dollop of vanilla ice cream in it too. The hot cold ratio sorta neat.

That's why I love Salt Lake, samps. I arrived at my polling booth @ 5pm yesterday . . . ...20 minutes later, I was out.
(And that, after it was determined my polling location was changed, and I had to vote manually. I've got the receipt w/confirmation numeral with which to verify my polling status)
Anyway, yeah. After my divorce in '99, I sure picked a fine place w/which to "start over w/a clean slate", I'd wager.

I mean, there could not have been more than 8 people in the room . . . including poll workers/volunteers.

Tell the truth, I'm not sure precisely why that is:
Could be (& I really think it is) that Salt Lake is simply operating on an order of efficiency unheard-of in most other US cities. For instance. . . we may have twice as many polling locations as cities back east and such that are have twice our population.
Or something like that.... (cuz this ain't no podunk town.... unless 180,000 + counts as "podunk").
er. . . . does it?

Well, based on the observation that Denver has 560,000 + , yeah, I guess this is a podunk spot, after all. That explains it.
