I love unexpected disasters (of the non-fatality causing variety) that result in a day off work.
I finally found a benefit of arduous daily commutes. Storms and cancellation of services - woo hoo!
Trains are back on now apparently - but I think I'll stay put.

Yeah, 120 mph winds? That might call for a lake wind advisory or two.

I love 25 foot ethernet cables. I bought one Tuesday night and moved my laptop (and therefore my self) out of the living room - out of the loud-ass tv ever present due to my brother - and into the bedroom where I think it will stay for a long time. Previously I had a cable that I doubt was even 4 foot long. Limited mobility and a tendency for the cable to come loose. My brother thinks I won't come out of my bedroom (or as he puts it, "cave"). I got news for him: I'm happy and that's what the cave is for - my happiness.

better that bill than some of the nuclear testing and defense spending that our wee feet finance. let's all change our tax info to declare tons of exemptions so that we end up owing the govie money, and then gather together en masse an burn our w-2's!
oh...let's see...what do i love? wet paint sliding off the tip of a svelte slippery detail brush...
