Words cannot describe how disappointed I am that this thread didn't take off and become extremely popular.
Charlie's not real happy about it, either, and when Charlie's not happy, nobody's happy.

Wingnut, believe it or not, is a term of endearment and respect among my circle of friends. It means "crazy and intelligent", which is the kind of person that garners the most respect with us.
"Crusty" is my favorite of the strange dialect that springs from Boulder kids though. If you say you're crusty it can mean anything from grumpy to hungover to sleepy to irritable to just plain unkempt.
Charles Manson was one crustified wingnut.
