Introducing Juliet Mary Evans - first child and daughter of Liz (angel) and Gareth (IFTM) day after birth with mum Aged 8 weeks Aged 15 weeks & off to a party with Dad. Juliet is now almost 16 weeks and we are having lots of fun...gosh, it's hard work though!! Lots of love to all the RS'rs xxx

thanks you guys. We think she is lovely too but we are biased, of course! We are all well and still in the UK. Gaz is now a qualified chartered tax advisor and has one more set of exams to pass next month and he will be a chartered accountant too...we've been so busy the past three years! We are going to emigrate to New Zealand in about Aug/Sept of next year...I can't wait!! I blame RS for my 9 years spent in the UK when I only intended to come for 2 years!!!! Feeling really happy and positive about life nowadays...musta got rid of all that angst all those years ago! Good to see you guys again; sorry to be a stranger. I'm more a frequenter of the "My baby was born in Dec 2008" forum now, for my sins!! We both work in quite heavy-going jobs so the days of being on the internet when we were meant to both be working are unfortunately long gone! My, how the mighty have fallen!! Lovvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeeeee to you all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

What is goss anyways??? Fill me in! Did Jesus marry Mary? Is Maarts still in Oz running a record store? Is Phil still lurking? RnR - have you still just got the one; how is matty? Jac - will have to tell Gaz you're knocking about. He will be pleased to hear everyone is still accounted for!

you're all 3 moving to new zealand?? how in the world do the women in a relationship do it? get their husbands to pull up anchor and move to some hinterland they have tenuous connection to? and that's NOT a criticism in any way, but i've got several friends who've done that...one who actually moved from chicago to the swingin' burg of munster, indiana (*cough*) of all places. but that's cool. it's got to be. 'cool' that is. must be something about starting anew...along with seeing the woman they love planted in the place where she was(presumably) at their happiest. where their wives became the person they fell in love with... i've mentioned that there's zero objection from me to move to lithuania, with the right financial conditions being in place. god, i would LOVE to be in europe, and in a country which i was 'taught' to love from a very early age. god bless you guys. and matas is growing up SO incredibly. his hair's not gone from it's blonde surfer look like my wife's predicted it would..and he's 5 in july on independence day. poor kid has had the turmoil of losing 2 of his grandparents within 4 months of one another last year. he did love them and fully realizes that they're gone...saw them in the boxes, all that stuff. i don't know if you've read any of 'bared souls'' threads, but both my parents died last year. however both my wife's parents have been visiting since mid december too, so he's got THAT gramma and grandpa pair to love to death (sometimes nearly literally, oh my god) til they leave in may. plus they don't speak english either, so his rusty since age 3 lithuanian skills are being forced back into his brain. he's amazing. as your fantastic juliet will be also. give her a big kiss from me, ok? and gaz too, what the hell... ...and pleeease stay in touch!

I'm so sorry to hear about your parents passing, rockdoc. That must have been a tough year for your family.
Glad to hear your LO is good - FIVE omg!!! Gareth and I have been married five years now, unbelievable isn't it. We must have been married not long before Matas was born!
Re moving to NZ - yep, we are packing up and leaving but don't forget, I've relocated my life to Notts for Gareth too and have spent almost seven years here!!!! It took me four years just to settle in!
We are not emigrating with a view we will stay for life...we may do but I am certainly not going to ever put that sort of expectation on Gareth when he has never even lived in the country before. If he and we can settle in, we might end up staying but we may also end up living in the UK...we just don't know, yet, until we've done the stint in NZ.
Fair's fair though, eh!!!
I'll give both Gareth and Juliet a big kiss from ya! xxx

One thing I have to say angel- your messaging has improved dramatically- I seem to remember you tyoing everything abbreviated and without capital letters! Marriage has certainly eased you down! Considering all you've been through going to England it's great to read that everything ended up going so well. When you move back to New Zealand are you going to move close to your parents? And will you be able to stay in your chosen professions? Haven't spoken to Kat in a while, I moved further away to the southwestern fringes of Sydney and am not working in the city anymore but I'm not too far away from there. Scott & Mellie mentioned they were to come visit down under with their 3 children this year, look forward to that!

... Re moving to NZ - yep, we are packing up and leaving but don't forget, I've relocated my life to Notts for Gareth too and have spent almost seven years here!!!! It took me four years just to settle in! ... yeah, when you look at it that way, totally sensible a 'payback'. 2 years was your original plan for europe/england? that being the case and then gaz being the 'upsetter', the fly in the ointment (by way of the ihternet...imagine that!)....well, he's been enrolled now AND the fact that you're looking at it in the MOST fair way possible regarding 'we just don't know, yet, until we've done the stint in NZ.'it sounds like nothing's been ruled in or out conclusively. no NZ or UK chauvinism....or as little as you can dial it down to. i mean human nature still will say you love where you've come from, your roots. for me moving is always a horrible experience...and mine have all been within 20 mile radius here. if i move to lithuania, that's gonna be it. my 50 years spent in chicago, tho wonderful, would be welcome to fade to memories. i think i could say 'bye' and balance it out with the chance to drink the great beers of lithuania for a long time. on tap. draughts. Mmmm. well til the effing russkis invade again that is, ugh. still a scary part of the world that. i wonder how tough it will be to learn finnish....hmmmm. ~ and thanks for the expressions of sympathy. yes, 2008 sucked. your 2008 news DOES make it better though!
