Man, rip on whomever you like! I don't mind seeing holy houses being torn down. No accounting for taste whatsoever and someone's gold is someone else's pile of shit. One Way Ticket for me was the latter.

First Modest Mouse, now The Darkness. Seriously, fucking British Sea Power? Even moreso than just about everyone else on that list, those guys couldn't write an album as solid as Permission to Land in a billion years. Much less followed it up with stuff as addictive as “Dinner Lady Arms” and “Knockers.” From pop sensibility to downright riffage, it’s hard to fuck with The Darkness, especially if you’re one of the many pansies on this list. Aye. Seconded.

hee eheee.. i am always so tickled when i see people get all riled up in defense und argumentation about music....(i've been drawn in myself)
however, i feel too lazy to vote at the moment....too much strain, or pain, depending on the couplet of coup de do-da-da's.
i'll just sit here soaring sweetly through Svefn-g-englar, un-tethered by hierarchies that cannot possibly wrap their categorical scatological-isms around the subtle nebulous grey areas that separate different sorts of musical being from nothingness. i will arrogantly wade through the different (not better or worse) beauties and varieties of human soul sighs, cries, and laughter that each act has to offer, steeping myself deeply in the multi-facetedness of existence. my charts and graphs will be spherical, with x, y, -x, -y, x2, y2, -x2, -y2, et cetera, being charted only according to contrast, and never according to scale, affording the most beautiful and infinite perambulation of connect the dots that existence has to offer to a positively charged and absorbent mind.
no. i'm not smoking anything. i'm at work for christ's sake. or mine.

I'm writing in James Blunt.
Who is this fucking guy btw. Saw him on the Brit Awards the other night and I keep hearing that beautiful song. He sounds fucking awful. Terrible. Why is he getting so much attention? He's fucking embarassing.

NO Write In Votes for solo artists and I find it hysterical this Blunt guy was in the British military what was he writting these sheepish songs while others were fighting the war In Iraq? He 's crafting soccer mom classics

PATTEN- Do we need to paste our votes from the original bracket board to the individual boards? You Can if you like but so far It seems most people have made all their picks on the indvidual boards I think about an average of 12 people have voted per board so if you do you can specify that your pasting from another board

Our military keeps claiming they're the best in the world, but they let some pansy like Blunt get up the chain of command? I like to think the SAS guys would have given him a 'code red' the instant he strummed his first chord.
I work with women who keep saying his song "Goodbye my Lover" makes them cry every time they hear it. It's all very perplexing.

I'm sure it would make me cry as well. Or at least the pain of pulling out my own pubes one by one to distract from the pain of his music would bring tears.

If it makes either of you feel better, Sean's old roommate met him when 'You're Beautiful' first came out in the UK. He got very drunk & called him 'James Cunt'.
A tad harsh yes. But for fucks sake...his songs are annoying, he gives the British military a bad name & he almost makes Pete Doherty look cute.
I said almost.
