Now I recognise the name! thought I saw the boardname somewhere else! Good to see a fellow denizen of the MOJO-boards here, Paul! Odd how the same thread on MOJO has gone all about Lynn drums, mods and the Smiths while here it's just another Beatlefest! Howdy maarts. Actually I forgot to answer a question that Holzman asked me earlier. He wanted to know how I ended up on this board. The answer is that many moons ago I was on the RS.com that everyone else here was on. I went by the handle of HouseholdName back then. No one probably remembers me. After the board went down I found some other places to post and frogot all about RS.com until I ogt bored one day and checked it out. Then one day someone posted this address and here I am. |

Sure enough I remember you. CE in those days was a hotbed of hotheads and I remember some of the convos you had weren't exactly friendly. I can also remember that some people thought you weren't fair dinkum, perhaps even a bomber/spammer!
Those latter days of the old RS certainly made everybody suspicious of everyone.

I did get into some pretty big flame wars with some folks though, mostly due to my distain for the 'corporate consumer culture' if I recall. Also there was some right wing woman there who I got into big fights with over taxes and big business versus small business--cant remember her name, and I havent seen her on this site. I guess I liked to stir the shit some times when I got bored--just for entertainment purposes. Yeah, I posted on the old board, though it went bust not long after I resumed posting (I was on a long hiatus previous to that dating way back to 2001). I don't think I ever got into any flame wars with you, mainly because I'm such a nice guy that even shit-stirrers wouldn't think of flaming me, but I do remember your colorful exchanges with various people (and yes, I rolled my eyes at your posts more than a few times...).

No, anyone who frequented those boards does indeed remember you. And, as a few have said here now, in a 'not fair dinkum' 'eye-rolling' sorta way. "Innocuous" as floral patterned wallpaper you were not. You've left a nice footprint over at those absolutely for-shit 'new' RS boards too. You weren't a mirage at those places.
Please don't take this wrongly...see?
But...I'm all for change too, buddy.
