Just did some digging around. Found a Blanche show that I forgot I had and a couple Clash shows.

I know this has probably been gone over a thousand times before on the boards but I don't feel like searching through a million back posts for it, so I'd mucho appreciate some help from anyone who has done YSI uploads...
I'm trying to send some shit to Ken Holzman, but I can't figure out how to upload an entire folder of shit at once instead of just individual songs individually. I read the faq and it said you would have to use an archiving program to compress the folder into one archive. I have a Mac and it suggested Stuffit for Macs so I followed the link but discovered that it's not a free download and I'm not about to spend $$$ for it. Am I missing something really obvious? Is there something that automatically comes with the new macs that I don't know about? Should I just uplaod each individual song separately? I'm confused. And stupid.
Thanks!!
Cheers, M

Now if somebody would be kind enough to take me by the hand and guide me through the step-by-step on how to transfer a bunch of tunes from iTunes to YSI, zip and all, it would be much appreciated.

I'm not sure how much of this translates from Mac to PC, but here's the basic process ...
1) find the original AAC files you want to send. (On a Mac, just select the song(s) and press [open Apple key] and "R" or select "Show in Finder" from the "File" menu). 2) put copies of the files in a new folder. 3) use whatever compression program you like (WinZip? I dunno, on my Mac I just control click and select "save as archive") to make a .zip or whatever file. 4) go to YouSendIt.com and then select "Upload a File" ... and follow the rest of their directions.
Kenny or someone can give you more specific instructions, I'm sure. Hope that helps some.

HÉ! I did it !
Thanks Ken ...
Now, what is the "étiquette" concerning sharing those files ...
Is it OK just to post the link here or do I have to wait till somebody ask for it ... ??

If it's something that you think a lot of folks might want, go ahead and post it here. If it's something a little more esoteric, then you might want to just PM the link to the people who want it (or who you want to have it).
At least that's my perspective. Ultimately this is sort of a boards etiquette question, and that would be Strat's final judgment call. IMHO anyway.

HÉ! How do I copy/post/send the link here ... ?? Man ! I'm dense sometimes ...

Phil "esoteric" Scarecrow ... You should have gotten an email from YSI saying "here's a link in case your recipient loses it." Copy that link and then post it here with the "url" tags on it, and we'll all be able to click it and download it from there.
And I'm looking forward to hearing this!
