Gang of Four Great Albums 1. Entertainment 2. Solid Gold My Bloody Valentine 1. Isn't Anything 2. Loveless Both bands have been ripped off shamelessly from several bands who have gone on to achieve great success. Now, whether are not you actually dig on either band is entirely subjective. ded has mentioned many times that he thinks My Bloody Valentine stinks, which I disagree with him, but music IS A MATTER OF PERSONAL TASTE. Another fine example of the elitism of rockjism and the closed minded over-opinionated elitism that it encourages from PEW. Do you think quality exists in music? Becasue if you have ever recognized something musical as being of quality you are practising rockjism. The act of recognizing something as being of quality is not elitism. |

There is quality that exists in music, but what I find that quality to be is not going to be in line with the views of other people. I do not, will not, nor have I ever subscribed to a "rockist" view.
I find quality in all forms of music and I do not like to view other music on how it measures up to a couple of decades when rock was the only thing that people thought about.
Music goes back almost to the beginning of man and rock is merely but a fingernail on that body of music.
I also really like Pro Tools, digital recording, keyboards, computers and other objects of that ilk that are not in your prescribed area of "rockjism". Thank god. Now, I'm sure somewhere on cable they are running "High Fidelity" so run along.

That would be taking the magic out of what makes the musicial experience unique to each person. I can elaborate on that if you dont understand what I mean. |
