Pretty sure he was mocking your insistence that this was the case, rather than actually confirming it. And I think the Sedaka posters who either don't post over here at all or who can't be bothered to interact with you here would probably scoff at this too. Whatever. I haven't read this whole thread, but I've seen a lot of good points made that you've just written off because of who said them. ~ Whatever dude. A lot of people made some points that you wrote off. And after you wrote them off, they antagonized you, yes. There's a lot of history, and yes, a lot of people don't like you and take pleasure in fucking with you. But you also never fail to just assume that that's the case, even when people are trying to engage you in serious discussion. It happens all the time. If you just once engaged someone without just assuming that they were out to get you, then it might not happen as much. That's all I'm saying.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. I was being sincere, but you've decided that I was just fucking with you. That's what I get for trying to level with you. I've been guilty in the past, but YOU are the one who has decided that things cannot change.
So fuck you. I tried, but you're a worthless piece of shit. If you refuse to talk to me without assuming that I'm out to get you, then I may as well be out to get you. I wish you'd kept this sincere essence of yours the fuck away from me earlier, pal. These comments were 'sincerity'? Telling me I wrote off alla your 'friends'. Right. AFTER saying (really you did) that 'Well I haven't been following this thread'...so what the fuck DO you really know of how this was done? And now you've designated yourself as a sympathetic ear, wanting to TALK to me about 'it'? Fuck no, I 'wrote off' NO-one. Damn, you're a fucking dumbshit Rocky; I was very much in the convo (after Ken's first offensive outburst); THAT (convo is not = to 'writing off) is why I jumped back at you. Goddamned MO-ron. With this ridiculous disingenuous stance at the same time cos it's sorta unbelieveable that you are that stupid. But I have to say moronic if just for the disrespect for me AND for anyone else here who actually followed the convo....OH, and disrespect for those not of the Brotherhood of 'scoffers' who doesn't reflexively write ME off because of what they might think my politics are. I made my point of VIEW known same as Thorn, JAC, and Ryo did...and I was honestly interested in how several of you viewed this mirage of objectivity that's so important to you. Luke responded to the question and I layed out why I disagreed to some of his points. I was in fact the one posing the question, see? Ded, the same and Kenny the same...JAC's direct response to me I had (predictably) several problems with ...and honestly, I was here a couple of hours in the AM and then late afternoon for a couple, before I left for home...and it was your crap I felt had to be addressed because it was simply SO stupid already. Luke and Kenny and ded, at that time did ZERO to antagonise me, you see. So WTF are you talking about? YOU are the one who was the fly in the ointment here. So yes, don't miss that here it IS you who I definitely AM writing off cos you're talking the boilerplate 'a lot of good points made that you've just written off because of who said them' as it HAS been going on and on and on for a long fucking time here...as has been agreed to by 'the Powers-That-Be' at fucking Sedaka. OK, it's not Sedaka's raison de etre to 'torment' RD. There ARE enough 'good' people there who just want to talk RnR, even if it, at it's heart, it began because a group of people went neurotically felt themselves deemed irrelevant. With this mad Jim Jones figure at the helm who's professed time and again his INTENSE dislike for me. So fucking with me has it's basis with him. So it's some sort of a 'Haha' little sideline when you're not being all fucking relevant 'solving' all the world's music problems...but what a creepy jagoff thing to engage yourselves in, delighting in giving shit to this guy you really know NOTHING of. ~ So IS the intent to make Strat's Castaways site just for us 'irrelevancies' (as judged by you) and for the über-hipsters at Sedaka to reference their jokes at what fuckups the rest of us still here, are? Good, hope I never see ya's.

The reason that the Sonic Youth rumors are flying is because Friday night is being done in collaboration with the All Tomorrow's Parties Don't Look Back Series, in which artists play classic albums in their entirety. Sonic Youth is doing Daydream Nation at all of the other Don't Look Back shows that have been scheduled for this summer, so it seems likely.

The best Pink Floyd album I ever heard was called "No Force".
I heard it in a dream, back around '82 or '83 ----> just before THE FINAL CUT dropped, in fact.
I recall seeing the album cover in my dream. It featured a Van Gogh -style painting on the cover depicting a mountain, with a set of train tracks disappearing into a tunnel down in one corner.
When you flipped the album over . . . you saw the other side of the mountain, w/the locomotive emerging from the tunnel there, headlight glaring over the twin tracks.
I remember the black vinyl disc .. . the center artwork mirroring the Van Gogh style mountainside . . . and when I put the needle down, I remember hearing the music.
In my dream, I sat there in rapt attention, whilst the new Pink Floyd album, "No Force", played, and the music sounded kinda like that King Crimson album "Three Of A Perfect Pair", in fact, it sounded specifically most like the song "Nuances (That Which Passes Like Clouds)", which is a killer Crimson tune, ambient/spacey, and the new Floyd of my dream sounded very much like that.
Side 1 was 20 minutes of uninterrupted music, and no vocals. Just tripped out space ambience, passing like clouds.
I can't remember what was on side 2, but I think it was something like 3 proper, albeit long, songs.
Man I can't believe I just remembered that.
