Gotchya!!!
In other news, the town here is all up in a snit because Kerry is coming to speak at a high school commencement. The school is in Michigan, but the graduation is in Ohio (better facility). Anyways, people are bitching and moaning that he is taking away from the students “night”. Um, I can’t even remember who spoke at mine, I am thinking they will definitely remember theirs. They are also going apeshit saying he just wants the big states votes. Well, yea! That’s what you do when you run for office, try to get votes. Man, people will bitch about ANYTHING!

That's taking the bitching a bit far. How big ofa class is it? I guess I could SORT OF see it if people were bitching about things like "we're only allowed to have 2 guests because of security checks" and what not, but as you said, when you get the opportunity to hear a presidential candidate as your graduation speaker (in high school no less) rather than someone like the student who sucked up to the principal the most (that's who spoke at mine) I'd take it. When I graduated from college, they tried unsuccessfully to get Hillary Clinton to be our graduation speaker. I kept on saying that if she was, I was skipping my graudation. But that was my own personal thing ... I wouldn't have objected to her being the speaker for everyone else.

I guess I just don't understand how the same people who talk incessantly about how stupid George W Bush is can then turn around and accuse him of cooking up all these conspriacies. How can he control the media so much, and be a dumbass at the same time? I mean come on ... I didn't like Bill Clinton, and I disagreed with him on an awful lot, but you didnt find me being convinced that he had Vince Foster and Ron Brown killed.
I'm sorry I thought this was at least in part directed at me.
Am I the only one who sees the irony in the second statement here directly following the first?
Probably, since I'm saying how I feel, not what you think. I clearly don't know what you think.

Does anyone around here happen to subscribe to the Wall Street Journal on line? There's an op-ed piece on there today written by Daniel Pearl's mother, that from what I have heard, sounds like it would fit into this "where is the outrage" discussion". But I'm not a subscriber, and I don't want to pay for just one article.

I've come to the conclusion that you're either insane or blinded by pointless semantics. There's no other rational explanation for what you've been saying concerning my posts, because it's the complete opposite of reality.

You know, you're more than welcome at any point to drop this Guardian of Board Conversation thing and converse with me on what I've been saying. You know, have a conversation and exchange ideas. Just putting that out there.

Um, but a 'conversation' within a written medium IS going to be defined(AND limited)by 'semantics', language, proper word usage and the like... 'Ideas'? The same thing applies... My take is that her pointing out flaws, ironies and inconsistencies just, how you say, shits you up a wall....and then you're equating it to being talked dooooowwwn to...and we ALL do that to one another at times when we're confident in our convictions. PLUS we're ALL going to show an inconsistency of thought/expression here and there simply through imperfect use of language here...BFD. Well, everyone except Mary....

At the risk of being a conservative ass kisser, well said Doc. Oh, screw it. I don't even care if that makes me a conservative ass kisser!

Come to think of it, shouldn't conservatives, by stereotype, be against ass kissing ... in the literal form at least?

Matter of fact I agree with Rocdoc too...it'd just be nice if some poeple would stop acting as though they are above the very flaws they point out in other's posts, but commit pretty often themselves. It's all shits and giggles til someone does it back...

It's all shits and giggles til someone does it back... And when you say it, you're doing it, leaving the circle to continue going round and round and round. Oh fuck it. I quit. I'll say when I agree or respect yours and Shins posts. If I don't respond, you know what I think.

You are required neither to respect nor agree with me, I do not need your approval nor will I seek it.
