Ok JAC let's talk about perespective. This is just a message board. I'm sure we all admire Strat-o's resolve but everyone deserves a second chance...if for no other reason this this is just a message board. If we're not supposed to get upset about being...by the way many people on here actually consider others on here actual friends not just names on a message board... if we're not supposed to get too upset about being banned then strat also shouldn't be unwavering in his moderating. After all it's just a message board.

I could also point out that they did post it on this board that was recently abandoned by the more serious minded folks for the "actual news" board. That could be taken to mean that our shenanigans were now permissable here.

Perhaps DED, but there's just something fundamentally wrong with letting the inmates take over the asylum. You guys could have started a comic books board if you had been truly serious about discussing that topic. Right?

Sure but we did stop when mary said something...since she seems to be the deciding complaint here, no offense to mary...and nobody posted any comic pictures until chrisfan threw a fit and started her own board. I don't think it's unreasonable to assume at that point this was our board and that was her board. You have a choice at that point you can go to chrisfan's actual news aboard where you know there will be no pictures of galactus or you could come here where there might be. If Strat had banned them before the other board was started I'd have no place to say anything but that isn't the case.

This is the last thing I'll say on the matter and then whatever happens happens. I think with two threads one with the express purpose of being more serious it's bullshit to hold the same rules over both boards. It's not matter of "letting the inmates rule the asylum" A) that somehow denotes that we're somewhat subordent B) it's actually a better solution then banning everyone from the entire board. I mean c'mon we've always been like this haven't we? All of us, not just pissin. I'm including strat and doc and chrisfan and everybody. So we have two rooms. When we get tired of each other we go to our seperate rooms. Here we can do indie rock as government jokes and extoll the might that is galactus as well as bitch about whatever dumbshit thing Bush did today and anyone that wants is welcome to join. There you can keep it strictly business if that what you want. We're welcome as long as we promise to keep our shit over here. I really can't see why anyone would complain about that.
