My opinion too. Tool-by-numbers on some tracks, love the atmospheric bits in the middle and the final track. Listening to it on heaphones- it's again sonically excellent. The artwork's frigging amazing too. The whole 3D-experience with the lenses pointing towards the booklet is another highlight. Can't wait what the vinyl's gonna look like.
We started selling 10000 Days yesterday and it went off. Sold the whole lot in one day. Good to see punters going nuts over a new CD again.

Ahem! Wasn't it embargoed till TODAY (29/04), Maarts?
I remember when I worked at Sanity & HMV (mostly I was 2IC), I'd be out on my lunch break, I'd spot an embargoed title for sale in another store & be buying it with the petty cash, then reporting them.
I was such a corporate whore like that.

Have Brazin bought out you guys yet, or are you resisting Brett Blundy's warped clutches? Because they already have music market majority now with HMV & Virgin, once they get JB HiFi on board they'll be laughing all the way to the bank.

Even though they're not better than Tool, at least we're mentioning them in the same breath. I would far rather them get compared on any level with SY artistically then most of the metal bands they get referenced against. See, while I think SY is WAY better than TOOL ever was, I have no problem artistically comparing the two. Past their prime, Layla? Rather Ripped is 10000 times better than the new TOOL.

You can't even compare SY to Tool. Thats like if I wanted to compare your penis to my elbows. Tool being your penis, SY being my elbows. Its apples & oranges, my friend.

Elbows are hideous. I don't like people touching mine. If I had a penis, however, I'd see no problem with anyone touching it.
I said touch it!

Gerry Harvey has bought himself already nicely in and with the MacQuarie bank holding the controlling shares, they'll find it hard to sell. Our marketshare in CDs has grown from 11% four years ago to 23% nationally. We started selling yesterday after several suburban stores broke the embargo.

Maarts: Would you kindly give us the "head's Up" on this board as soon as you hear word of when the vinyl 10,000 Days is to be released -? I'll be snaggin' that puppy up immediately.

I remember reading last year how much your market share had increased & then I heard along the grapevine Brazin were keen to snap you up. JB seems like a very unexpected big player in the market right now, so I can understand it. But I didn't realise Mac Bank had controlling shares. Wow, you're never going to go under with a backer like that. Those built-in goggles on 10K Days are ruining my eyesight dammit, and I'm already half-blind.
