Personally I like cottage cheese a lot, although I have noticed, of late, that it tastes almost exactly like plain yogurt.
It could be my taste buds are changing as I age, or I might have bought a bad batch...but it sure as hell tasted like plain, unsweetened yogurt.

Small curd cottage cheese is pretty good, but large curd cottage cheese is fucking delicious. I could eat that stuff all day. One time my wife bitched at me because I came home drunk and ate the massive container of large curd cottage cheese, which was to be her lunch for the next week. Though she puts fruit and shit in it, and I think that's nasty. It's not bad on a baked potato, though...

Ok you sick bastards, this in NO way to go into a weekend! You're touching on a very nasty subject that I've been scarred with since a very young age. I can still visualize the small fruit bowl my mother used to set by my dinner plate....a sizable dollup of this white crud (and that IS crud NOT curd) with a few yellow peaches surrounding it, their juice intermingling with the clear heavy syrup of the peaches taking on eddys of spermazola snotness....fuckin' horrifying to look at, let alone eat. This is vile, vile material that should only show up tucked away deep inside a nicely baked lasagna.
put me down as NO.

Small curd only. And only "Breakstone's" cottage cheese. The other brands are way too runny, With pineapple is good too.
Personally I eat the shit out of cottage cheese as a side dish when I eat chili. Kinda mixes well together for some reason.

Cottage cheese with peaches is gross.
But I love it with pineapples.
I tend to eat the small curd variety these days. The wife hates large curd. I don't mind, either way. When I was a kid we would get the small cartons of Viva low fat large curd. That shit was dry, but I loved it. Can't do low fat anymore.
You take a chance when you buy cottage cheese. Sometimes it's too runny and other times it's too dry. But it's worth the risk, IMO.

i like it whenever i inadvertently eat some, but i sure don't seek it out. w/a 3 year old kid in the house, it is a staple....tho he has periods of turning his nose up at it, so that's when i end up eating it, with or without cling peaches, fruit cocktail or various jams we've tried to sweeten it up with. right now i can't touch it while i'm atkins-ing myself down a bit....
my mom useta sprinkle chocolate shavings on cottage cheese (small curd, large curd makes/made no diff to me) just to get me and my sister to eat it.
my sister's the one who really needed that 'extra'.... the finickiest damned eater to this day...

All those add-ins (especially the chocolate) make me gag to even think about.
Plain or with pineapples. The only way.

especially the chocolate? ai. geez, so what else is it a comparable sin to mix other flavors with? i mean, yeah, to your personal tastes. which are yours, i understand. i mean, pat just mentioned chili with cottage cheese...whoa! there's a true 'Eeeew!' to me. but chocolate? cottage cheese is just a few steps away from the best ricotta....the chocolate they sometimes drizzle over a cannoli (with crushed pistachios) is gagworthy too? so you don't ever eat dannon yogurt, fruit-on-the-bottom and all that apparently. yogurt (and it's imo nasty-tasting derivative, kefir) has way further health benefits than cottage cheese fwiw, with it's lactobacillus acidophiluses helping the gastroenteric tract in terms of absorption. if you're needing antibiotic therapy and ignore yogurt while taking them (esp if you tend toward the diarhhea that's common), you're a doofus for not replenishing the 'good' bacilli that the drugs are sorta inadvertently killing. i've actually had a fondness for ice cold buttermilk especially during the summer. straight up, no peaches. buttermilk's also with good measure of the lactobacilluses... THIS was one of the most delicious snacks (basically we lived on them) i got hooked on the first time i was in lithuania.... VANILLA MINI CHEESECAKE BAR There is nothing like Dadu Cheesecake Bar for breakfast with a cup of coffee or tea. Begin your day with the delicate flavor of chocolate glazed vanilla curd cheese bar.
Vitamin A - 6% / Vitamin C - 0% / Calcium - 6% / Iron - 0%

The importance of this poll has been exaggerated.
With that said, I adore cottage cheese with a little bit of pepper.

Interesting, when you Google images for cottage cheese you mostly get pictures like this:

I do not like cottage cheese when I accidently blow it out my nose, otherwise it is a fine dairy product.

I'm just sayin...chocolate in cottage cheese seems to me to be an unusual combination. I will have to try it some time, but I don't think I'll like it.\
Next up:
BUTTERMILK:
Disgusting or delicious?
(Try it with chocolate before weighing in...)
As for me...when I was a young 'un I liked me some buttermilk with a lot of salt mixed in. I wouldn't drink it now unless you held a knife to my throat.
