I think a lot of old school Drudkh fans were a bit disappointed with it (this from reading reviews) because it forsakes a good deal of the expected death metal elements (the drum style, I think, is the main thing they're referring to). They suggest that a person who is hearing the band for the first time via this record will not come away with an understanding of the style they've been developing. I don't know. It was my first Drudkh record so I didn't really care. All I know is that it blew me away and has rewarded repeated listening.

I've seen Watain live twice now and they purely destroy. In fact their first SLC show is already legendary due to the eruption of violence. Good times.

You know this whole bullshit about RocDoc only dropping by once a month...you know what that is? It's bullshit, I tell you. I can accept the truth regardless of how it may reflect upon me personally and the cold hard truth is that I seem to have run that motherfucker off. Little old me. Now there are some of you out there, perhaps checking in from the ole Sedaka home front (if that still exists) who will say, Touche! Ran that bastard right off the map! We've been watching. We have kept close tabs on how frequently the Doc visits the boards and we can assure you it was more than once a month until you came along. You, JAC, have done what all of us could not do when the name of the game was backing the old chiropractor up against a wall and watching his squirm...although one must give the old salt credit, seeing as how he managed to make us pack our own bags and hit the highway.
This may come as a shock to everyone...I came here to befriend that sneaky devil. I came here to give him someone to talk to. Someone to vent his frustrations towards. Someone he can call a homeboy in this desolate wasteland where homeboys are hard to find. So far from crowing like a cock because I've apparently run him back to Croatia or wherever the fuck he comes from, I am saddened and even depressed at his absence. And all I can say is damn me for trying.

I'll either pick a horror film from Netflix's somewhat limited queue and watch it or I'll just keep listening to this Ohio Players record on Spotify. Have not made up my mind yet.
