I haven't posted anywhere regularly as "Deadandrestless" in over a decade but I guess if anyone remembered me it would be under that. Also I kinda like the idea of being the last poster to ever appear here. So there.

'sup fellow long lost Castaways. Thorny popping in here to give a shout out. If Facebook burns to the ground (I don't think it will, but ya never know) and if there are ANY of you on Facebook who don't really socialize online anywhere else, well best dust off your password here or generate a new one, because my suggestion is, in lieu of losing touch with each other altogether (heaven forbid) we should just return here, the safe harbor from the 3rd-party sharing storm. At least here we're an isolated community -- an island in this stormy digital sea -- and we can toss back pretend bottles of Sailor Jerrys with the lime and the coconut, and bring back the good times.
Otherwise... nevermind .. . I don't think Facebook is going anywhere, to be honest. Just a bunch of scared lemmings will be spooked to delete their accounts, I guess. It'll be interesting to see what happens in the wake of Cambridge Analytica. Peace out.

Wow, it's been years since I checked in over here. Sup, thorn! sup strat-O. Just saw READY PLAYER ONE today and it was everything I expected--and more! Was not disappointed, which is a relief, considering the shit storm I've been perpetually exposed to on social utility networks out there. It's Brutul, man, brutul. The haters have created a unified field of criss crossed hate which has permeated everything and turned even the most hopeless romantic sour. Stick your head in there for too long, when you pull it out you'll believe Santa Claus hung himself on a pay per view reality TV show. These are weird times now, man. Nearly everyone I know of has changed or been killed. I don't even look at food the same anymore. So I'm on a diet inspired partly by this book called The Plant Paradox by a Dr. Gundry. Nobody alive today shares the same opinion anymore in this expanding universe. We're all alone flying apart into the heart of the Sun. But it sure has been a fun ride. Things are startin' to really heat up now, so it's cool we're touching base here again, while we can.  |
