The more I study that setlist . . . really study it, letting the implications sink in . . . . I realize in a sort of dazed amazement, that there is no way I could have done better myself . . . it is flat out amazing.
Starting w/"It's On!" is perfect . . . then to dive directly into "clown/divine" is more than perfect. . . it's ideal . . . and then LOVE SONG!! Now I'm picturing myself right up front w/the rest of the total gonzo fukkers, and I'm realizing, I best be careful, or I might not survive for the remainder of the set ! "Will I die tonight" indeed . . .
Then FALLING AWAY FROM ME!!, - - right after Love Song -- !- - (Love song being clearly in my top 3 songs on the new album) . . .
I can't believe they threw out DIRTY so early in the set, but to come right out and play LIAR afterwards .. . not only funny as shit, but just a killer followup to that song, in general . . .
Then:
~Counting On me ~Somebody Someone ~Throw Me Away
!!! At this point, I'd be happy if they ended tha damn set, fuuuuck . . .
But no, then we really get thrown back in time like broken ragdolls to be demolished by the following 1-2-3 punch-in-the-face:
Shoots and Ladders Need To Lies
The Need To/Lies combo, just like the Clown/Divine combo, is yet another double barrelled shotgun blast of pure korn lovefury . . . I need to make sure I'm not the one to leave in a stretcher by this point. . .
Then we get Make Me Bad. . . Thoughtless (Yes!) . . . and I don't care how "overplayed" or popular A.D.I.D.A.S. is, its a hotdamned mandatory tune from these guys in my opinion . . .
They coulda played the whole Twist song . . . so that kinda sucks we only get the "chorus" (whatever) . . . but I guess a little is better than none. . .
Then:
~Coming Undone ~Did My Time ~Got The Life
How are the guys even able to make it this far - -? How are we fukkers going to survive the pits - ? I'm beginning to get a tad concerned for my safety.
Ah . . . then the sweet, heartwrenching bliss of TEARJERKER.
Check this out Lady: I'm making my very own TEARJERKER T-shirt, to wear @ this show!! It'll be my way of showing support, signalling the band that they BEST play it. . . and hopefully otherwise draw attention to myself.
I only wish that they'd play Seen It All right before Tearjerker . . . they really need to be played together, IMO. Here's keeping my fingers crossed that they unleash their Industrial Monster (Seen It All) on us .. . *pleasepleasepleaseplease...*
But I"ll say this: I'm sure glad as FUKK they're playin TWISTED TRANSISTOR live. . . . it is definitely one of my favorite songs of theirs, period. Funny how it went from a "meh" tune (1st time I heard it - -admittedly a bad ripped copy online), to have gradually transformed into one of their most infectious, catchiest singles ever. Love the lyrics, and generally the whole damn kit & kaboodle . . .
And finally . . . the one song I've been waiting to hear live most of all:
HYPOCRITES
Man. . . . right now, words fail . . . .I'm just. . . . so happy to be alive. . . .(speaking of "alive", I sure wish they'd play that....)
to end w/Freak on a Leash & blind, well, although that ain't bad, those tunes are kinda overdone. . . but I guess . . . ending w/BLIND will be pretty intense.
All in all . . . . . this may quite possibly end up being the most amazing korn show I've ever seen.

I will make it go away! (Can't be here no more) Seems this is the only way... (I will soon be gone) These feelings will be gone... These feelings will be gone!
Now I see the times they change Leaving doesn't seem so strange I am hoping I can find Where to leave my hurt behind All the shit I seem to take All alone I seem to break I have lived the best I can Does this make me not a man?

Their absolute lack of pretentiousness. Their total purified honesty. The searing emotional catharsis. Their heights of perception that brush against the black between stars. Their depths of feeling that touch upon the most personal and primal. The unique syncopation distilled by a one-of-a-kind drummer. The phattest basslines this side of hell. The down-tuned guitars evoking a point/counterpoint churnings & sQueeks of a haunted house mind. The flagship spastic vocals wrung straight from a heart that knows no bounds in unapologetic expression. Straight-up the most jaw-dropping musical force I've ever had the painstaking pleasure to revel in. 7 more days...

oh man, for a sec there I thought that was a pic of Sin-Jyn-whatever-the-devil-his-name is . . .
I'm psyched for this Silent Hill movie. . . . I'm trying to get my homey here to rent the game. . . I told him I'd rent it. . . will have to set aside some time to bug him more about it, and hang at his place.
Saw a preview for the remake of THE HILLS HAVE EYES. Although the preview was WAY too preachy for my tastes (citing stupid ass blurbs like "Almost TOO intense", etc), I still happen to know that movie will deliver the goods.
It was directed by the same guy who brought us the terrific HIGH TENSION. The Hills Have Eyes will be his second movie.
And that Sin-Jyn flick starring Jonathan as the devil . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . .*DAMN* ! ;D

Holy shit --- is that Valtiel?!? The only problem with renting any Silent Hill game is that you won't have time to get fully immersed in it before it's due back. The sheer awesomeness of these games is best experienced by completing them, and then playing through 'em 3 or 4 more times to get different endings and to unlock different instruments of whoop-ass. But ya gotta take what you can get, I guess! Check it, Thorny... one of my favorite moments of any of the games came in part 3, after I unlocked the flamethrower. Before finishing the game for the first time, there is a part where you're in a mall bakery and a flyer is lying on the counter. It reads, harmlessly enough: "Helen's Bakery -- Crispy toasted Bread right to your very door." Complete the game meeting certain criteria, however, and when you enter the bakery during the next playthrough, a flamethrower is lying on top of the flyer for your monster-roasting enjoyment. Read the flyer this time, and it says "Helen's Bakery -- Crispy toasted BrDead right to your very door!" I thought that was just the freakin' coolest. And I went out and delivered some crispy toasted DEAD, I did. ;D I need to find a screenshot of that flyer and use it as my sig. Hee hee!

Fangoria reports:
"The featured fiends derived from the games includes SILENT HILL 2's Red Pyramid Head, the Dark Nurses, the Armless Thing (sometimes called the Demon Patient), the Grey Children (a.k.a. the Mumblers) and of course the Boss. Gans also came up with a new beast to add to the existing world. "His name is the Janitor," he says. "And Akira Yamaoka thanked me for doing that. He is my personal addition to SILENT HILL, and he's a sick thing."
The guy in the new poster must be the Janitor? Hmmm...
