1. If you suddenly had the day off tomorrow, what would you do with it? As it'd be the only evening i'd be able to go out and have fun without getting up for work the next morning, i would party.

The beach.
3. Do you like road trips? Yes I do, i love driving, and listenin to tunes. Saw Mary's post there about drivin 3 hours listening to the Cure, and i was singing fat bob tunes in my head.

Prolly the same thing I do with all my Fridays off. Sleep in, have sex, eat lunch, lay by the pool, have sex, take a nap, cook supper, watch TV and maybe a movie, have sex, go to bed. I'm really that boring these days, and no, I'm not trying to sound all lame with the sex; that's just how things go in the summer with us.

Nowhere. Homecooked meal and a good movie...that's the ticket.

when I was younger making the journey was what it was all about...now I want one of those Star trek teleporters...I fucking hate road trips...an unfortunate side affect of wanting to be there..

Fitness...I'm an obsessive fucking fitness freak..I want to win bike races..off my bike for a couple of days and I resemble a washed up heroin junkie...yeah shakes and anxiety and all that crap...go endorphins...

Nothing on the horizon...i'd love to be going to Sonic Youth in Auckland, but with work and the rest (I'll be in Aussie)...it's just not going to happen

Not like I used to. I've kind of turned into a "if it's not 10 minutes in any direction, why bother" type of guy. Which is horrible, but I think will change since we're moving out of the city next month.

Depends how far ... I don't really like travelling four or five hundred miles by car anymore, but I love zipping over to Las Cruces (about 30 miles away) in the convertible for breakfast. So I guess I love 'em as long as they're less than two hundred miles or so ... anything more than that gets really tiring.

1. If you suddenly had the day off tomorrow, what would you do with it?I've had every single day off since like May 20th, actually. I don't start working again until July 6th. But, all the same, it doesn't really mean anything when you're a graduate student, because a day off is just another day to work on your dissertation. So my typical day without work is that I sleep in, maybe go to a coffee shop and read a chapter of some dissertation-related book, come back, write my dissertation for a few hours. By then it's evening and who knows, depends if I have plans with friends or not. Now, if I had a day off from dissertation-writing entirely, that would totally be a day get brunch at Mama's in Oakland, the best damn brunch place on earth, and then head into the city to browse the Mission, my favorite neighborhood, full of great thrift stores, bookstores, and little independent record stores. 2. Where do you think is the best place to go on a date?Dinner and a nick cave show?  Actually, no, nick cave show is probably bad cause i spend the whole time swooning about nick and ignore my date.
