UEB!!!!! Sooooo nice to see you in here!! Would have posted straight away yesterday but I just didn't notice your post cause I haven't read this board in ages. How are you?? I hope you don't disappear instantly, cause I'd love to hear a bit about where you are in grad school and what you're up to - I can't remember when exactly you started so forgive me if I've totally jumped the gun but do you have a dissertation topic yet? Honestly I've had to cut back, primarily by staying the fuck off of the CE board because that's where I 'compose' my most elaborate (TIMEsucking) treatises because some of the gross generalizations I see made there seem to get under my skin just a bit and there, in that place, I just try too hard...and fer nuthin, generally. Lemme stick to the music board which are at least a step slightly more mindless...get on, go 'Aaaaaaugh! I love it!', then leave.... Maybe Sgt Rutter and his wife were against the evil 'daycare'.... |

hey UEB..hope the big 'D' is going well.......
as for erstwhile RS.com stalwarts, on the Beatles vs. Stones board I use to have some great tete-a-tete with Piper....absolutley hilarious, especially our boxing match at the Metro in Chicago!..and with Moongirl in cahoots that was a fun board.......
I also really enjoyed Bama and his insights on the Kinks.......

I second that JAC call out.
But that also reminded me...does anyone else remember Monkey? He was about 14 or so back on 2000 when he started the Bush vs. Gore board, which became Current Events. I think he was from Vermont. I liked that guy.

So I go and do the little Google thingie and I find some old miscreants from the Rolling Stone Mag Boards (Boreds?) hanging around. This I have to see. I see some familiar names--------------------------Holzmann, Blaney, oh goodie RockDock, ummmmm even a Jackory mention. But no BamaJohn? So tell me------what DID happen to those infamous RS boards? They just up and vanished from the looks of things. My my. Nice to see some semi-familiar names!

I was DrBotanus, Regiggii and a few other names. Don't be calling me a Troll pallie. I have made all of a handful of posts here, none of which were in the slightest offensive. I well remember you, Herr Holzmann, Mary Blaney, Digmosmusic, Plokoon, FreeToys, etc etc.
