now that i've had the opportunity to cool down a little, i'm happier for two reasons: a) i found out the team didn't quit. mcnabb was bloodied up and close to vomiting. he was so fatigued that freddie mitchell had to call a play. b) our schedule for next year is ridicuously easy, compared to some other teams.
Home:
49ers (should be easier.)
Seahawks (their defense has to step up.)
Raiders (interesting offseason ahead.)
Chargers (should be a great game.)
Packers (hey, brett... you awake? we love ya, but ya gotta play.)
Cowboys (a lot of question marks here.)
Giants (if eli manning develops quickly, tougher game.)
Redskins (just what exactly are they trying to do?)
Away:
Cardinals (a lot of potential, but offensive inconsistence.)
Rams (mike martz should be coaching college or high school.)
Broncos (mmm. if plummer is hot, should be a nailbiter.)
Chiefs (if they get some defense this offseason, great team.)
Falcons (hey, rematch! should be fun, tough and defensive.)
Cowboys (could be tough if they keep scoring low.)
Giants (tougher away, at the meadowlands.)
Redskins (stellar, point preventing defense could make it a battle.)
i'm making a list of the eagles free agents, and writing if i'd re-sign them or what sort of contracts i'd give them... i'm really on top of these things, i'm really excited for both the present and the future. should be an interesting offseason around the league, with the draft, free agency, trades (randy moss, especially... i think he'll go the jets), and so on and so forth.
now that i'm more educated on what happened, i'm proud of what we've accomplished. the patriots are supposedly the best or one of the best teams ever, and we were an onsides kick and a field goal away from sending it into overtime, and who knows from there? can't feel too bad.
