That Super Bowl sucked nuts.

Unless you were a Steelers fan since birth.

I guess that might have made it a little more exciting. But that was a pretty lame game as far as Super Bowls go, you've gotta admit.
Obviously you've got to love the result, but I can't imagine that you were at the edge of your seat the entire time.

Yeah but you don't know me + Steelers. I was on edge with under a minute left. Years of losing AFC Championships has made me weary of ever being comfortable.

It wasn't exactly a nail-biting, edge-of-the-seat game for most, but I enjoyed it quite a lot. Glad Pittsburgh pulled up their socks, because that was some pretty sloppy playing in the first half.
But that Randle El to Ward was the stuff dreams are made of... beautiful. And happy for the The Bus that he can end his career on such a high note.
Lowest point of the night? That half-time show. Good god, why won't the Stones just hang it up already?

...and what was up with the "Everybody-else-BUT-Stevie-Wonder-sings" pregame show 'Starring Stevie Wonder'??
It wasn't a concert, it was a Vegas revue.
Who was the featured guy singer BTW....he got some HUGE exposure, but Stevie, he ain't even close to. Bland as shit.
Thank goodness that Stevie finally sang that last very kickass song off the new disc to close it out....

Aw hell the Stones were great (except he was a tad winded at the end) & the right team won what more can you ask for.

Guess you're right Phil... but frankly, I just thought it was sort of embarrassing. Mick neither looked nor sounded all that great, IMO. Though Keef is just the same as ever... it's no wonder, considering he actually died 20 years ago and someone forgot to tell him.
S. did a "voiceover" for Keef near the end that had me crying... when Keef sort of laughed about something, then started wandering around the stage. I nearly choked. The only saving grace of that performance for me, I'm afraid.

Not sure who that guy was Doc, but I agree - booooring. Gotta love Stevie though, that guy just warms my heart.
(though I wasn't crazy about the last song, though could have just been the weird mish-mash of voices.)
And as much as I try, I just cannot STAND Aaron Neville's voice. Argh.

Can't believe the Motown element of the show was such an afterthought, including the last-minute invite of Aretha. Think the event planners could have used a little more common sense.

The after thought aspect does leave a bad taste. Note they only thought to change things after the hue & cry started. Shame.

Let’s talk about NFL censoring the Stones. I thought I heard something during Start me Up but I wasn’t to sure. Now the cats out ‘o the bag I am.
What I thought was a blank spot in "you make a dead man rise" was indeed! How ludicrous is that.
I’m incensed its gone way to far, in no way can you compare that to Jackson’s debacle! They also apparently removed the word cock in Rough Justice. Good god!

The line is "You make a dead man cum". That's what got censored.
By the way, earlier this morning we somehow broke into a bit of a discussion (very briefly) on this whole thing on the "50 Greatest Singles of All Time" board.
