DUDE! This son-of-immigrant-DPs has been a Yankees fan since I was little! When I didn't even know how to speak English. Ahem...a fan on a matter of principle alone...they're the damn Yankees! And from the greatest MOST representative city of 'America', for good, for bad or for worse... ;D I just love the city of New York and I love seeing them represented by the Yankees... All NY Yankee-hating is strictly ENVY. ~ It's like me hating the damn Red Wings... I hear ya Doc!

I'm hoping Boston takes it, and if not them....then Dodgers, Houston.

Did I just see RocDoc open a post with 'dude'?
Read a nice article about some BoSox-fans cheering the Yankees on, in anticipation of another crack at the mighty Noo-Yahkus themselves- those fans being despised by fellow fans who would like to see nothing more desperately than Yankee-blood at the hands of whomever. Boston-fans are weird!

I still can't believe Ruben Sierra (1 out of the last 20 at bats) hit a three-run homer to tie that game! I literally choked on my morning sandwich when I saw that! But, belated, congrats to the Yankees. They unbelievably pulled this one out of the fire. Hope booze is cheap in Minnesota.....

I heard some guy say this on some show:
Rooting for the Yankees is like hoping Brad Pitt gets the girl. It's like hoping Bill Gates wins the lottery.
I couldn't agree more.

So using this analogy to the current situation it owuld mean that rooting for the Red Sox would be like hoping Brad Pitt was gay and Bill Gates would organise a lottery?
May I extend a heartfelt thank you to both the Sox and Yanks for taking so goddamn long to finish off that game that my trusty taperecorder didn't get the whole game and I had to get the final result online? To think I spent 4 hours watching all that and not knowing how it ends....bastards!
