the best part of this year's world cup is that i won't have to wake up at 3 in the morning to watch games. any future tourny hosts should be limited to the western world. games will be from about 11 to 5 chicago time. perfect excuse to be absolutely worthless at work.

That means we Aussies always have to get up early. One of these days we are gonna host one of those puppies...I'll make sure you get a wake up call every morning at 2am, mmmkay? We were lucky that the Japan/Korea World Cup four years ago meant we could watch it here at a decent time.

(although there's a tv in the common room?) i'm going on a hunger strike.

ok so, Canada isn't in the World Cup. but it's still the bootiful game.
there's going to be no way for me to see them live.
you better not rush on here and start revealing scores and outcomes as they happen, Bismarck.

nah, i may be a dick, but i still wouldn't do that.
are you gonna get to see replays of the matches?
the winter olympics were the worst this year -- no daytime coverage and i wasn't able to avoid the results as they happened. that's the downside of working with a couple thousand sports fans in an open environment.

the olympics is one thing, but the World Cup is another.
the fever pitch excitement is already building in the air. especailly amongst Toronto's immigrant cultues (italians, portugeuse, etc.. etc... etc.. of which we have billions and billions of).
god i love this event.
