Yeah Layla, it does seem silly....but when someone starts insisting that a mere minimum of 'control' is suddenly 'fascism'...I mean ya gotta defend this from that sorta simplistic thinking. And those kind of charges got this thing going.
Our friend Strat started this thing up, knowing how much BIG numbers of us here hated the mean-spirited and destructive 'trolling' at RS....and suddenly Strat and KJ are Nazis of some sort.

If I can't speak freely then it isn't real freedom. I always thought highly of R.S. for not getting involved in flame wars, or banning people for being in flame wars. This forum might be a different story, spamming aside, which wasn't real spamming as we all know.

JAC himself just did say he overstated a bit, and THAT was more what I agreed with, than the chapter and verse of the original.
At a bit of a 'backed-off' level....some sort of a vague 'backed-off' level, I'm imagining(perhaps)the thought to be not THAT necessarily offensive..
The essence of his, was more like what I'd just written and what you quoted there....
Your group is demanding that everyone ELSE here read between your and knight's lines...we might all be able to compromise down the line...a bit?

Seems to me we needed the trolls. Look what happened to us after we regrouped over on this site, with no trolls around. One of us makes a joke (a funny one, I might add) and then all hell breaks loose, we explode into further cliques and everyone snapping at each other's backs. All because, if you think about it -- the trolls were effectively banished. To think they were the glue that initially held us all together. The irony is tremendous.

Call it a defence mechanism against feeling awkward in conflict situations if you will, but man...
I've been holding tight, but my well documented short attention span, coupled with the ridiculousness of this whole thing probably means about 10-20 smart assed posts are on the way, that will mostly get ignored, yet will make me feel like I'm contributing and making a best stab at changing the subject.
