I didn't like the way all this went down. This board was completely un-neccessary and I think as soon as Rileydog, Shin or any of the others spoke on my behalf that should have been enough. The skeptism(sp?) was appaulling(sp?) and sad. In the future, I believe these situations should be handled like the fantasy leagues. The commishioner sends out an email admonishing participants for shady deals and then voids those transactions.
If mr. strat had emailed me about my intentions, I would have responded and the problem would have been taken care of. I then tried to represent myself as KnightsAttorney to lighten up the whole thing, but could not post for some damn reason. I don't know who Kayjay was talking to, because I didn't see anything from her anywhere. I assumed my KnightsAttorney got banned and left it at that.
I will admit that my sense of humor leans to the absurd and not everybody apprieciates that brand of humor. You must understand that when I post something I think is funny, its because I'm usually laughing my ass off as I post it, no matter how ridiculas. I once said that for every post I read I automatically think of the 5 most craziest responses and then pick number 6 as my response.
My appologies to everyone in this community for all the bullshit caused by my 'joke'.
Some of the stratO supporters said some things that make it hard for me to post here. I feel bad that JAC, doesn't care if we post here, I had a nice convo about religion on Shane's board one time. I feel most bad for Someone, who was spoken to badly by KayJay. Someone is one of my favorite posters because she likes the Oakland Raiders is from Connecticut.
Lets try to make up a little here and then everybody who cares to can split time between this board and the new and exciting board created elsewhere.

Welcome back, Knight. I feel we've got things pretty well straightened out now. I hope you and your friends won't feel reluctant to post here. We're all kind of learning our way around the new format, and trying to develop standards that are acceptable to the majority of memebers here. At first, I didn't really know who you were, or even if you were being impostered, for that matter. So the poll should be regarded as pertaining to trolls in general, and not you specifically. I still feel the behavior in question was objectionable, but I think we have got it sorted out.
As far as I'm concerened, pretty much "anything goes" here, as long as it doesn't draw too many complaints or is excessively foul or abusive or disprupts the boards. I have no intention of patrolling threads like a policeman looking for infractions. I'm finding that, with the controls the ProBoards provide, the type of anarchy and maliciousness that destroyed a few of the RS boards will be easy to avoid.
I have read the exchange between Someone and KayJay, and I don't think Someone was especially "spoken to badly" by KayJay. The exchange was rather mild by most message board standards, and I don't think it is grounds for a grudge - I know it isn't for KayJay.
I know you'll enjoy your new separate board. I've been a member of an MSN board with a handful of others for a long time, and we enjoy it ver much. You may also find that it's fun to belong to and feel you are part of a larger and more diverse community like the old RS boards. That's one reason I started this place post haste after the RS boards went down - to try to reach out to everyone and get a central community going before everyone fractured and scattered on the four cyberwinds. Seems to be working pretty well, so far. The only thing missing is that feeling of reaching a worldwide audience, with surf-ins from everywhere. The RS name provided that. KayJay is looking into meta tags and ways to gain higher visibility in search engines, etc. Maybe some of the old posters who have thus far fallen through the cracks will be able to get onboard. Here's a thought thay I may try to circulate among us: I know many of us have websites for various reasons (band promotion, fan sites, hobbies - whatever). Perhaps a link to this site with a brief description on your webpages would help spread the word.

I only know a little about this whole mix-up, but it seems to me that everyone jumped to conclustions and got a bit edgy and pulled the trigger when they weren't even sure who they were firing at. I fail to see how this could not have been cleared up in a few private messages and then forgotten like a bad rash. I mean, come on, it took us like 3 days before we started self-destructing.

Yeah, my post may have been a bit overblown, no doubt, as far as I am concerned it was to be expected.
But I'm not apologizing, because for one thing it was not a pro- or anti-knight post, even though I thought his comment (on another board) that these boards "smacked of facism (sp)" was much more overblown and unnecessary than what I posted here a couple of days ago...
Maybe I didn't get my point across very well in the heat of anger, but what I was railing against was all the bullshit hostility directed at Kay Jay and Strat-0. Ya see, I'm really (pleasantly) surprised that strat has been so cordial and accomodating to me in regards to this forum...he didn't HAVE to be, and truth be told, I wouldn't have blamed him had he made the decision to veto my membership.
But he's been nothing but cool since this thing started, and maybe I took that into account when I typed up that post...And I still stand by my basic point---if anyone has a problem with how a board's creator administrates their OWN board, it's easy enough to start yer own.
I knew it would be a very unpopular sentiment even as I hit the "Post" button.
What can I say? I was just fed up with the "board politics" bullshit. I personally don't have any desire to broaden the scope of my acquaintances, but I know that many of you do, so maybe the tone of my post was a bit rash...for that I WILL apologize.
But I'm not gonna lose any sleep over it...
