jeez, i wonder what it would cost to get a boob job in venezuela. obviously not much. i always wanted to get a breast reduction, even though mine are on the smaller side of normal.

This is where I was supposed to be this weekend ! The St-Lawrence river is just 2000' under the clouds ... See! Told you so ... the ski centre received 62 CMs of snow in the last 24 hours ... More than two feet worth of the stuff !

Doc ... Le Massif is only 20 milles from the Mont Ste-Anne but it probably receive double the amount of snow, an annual average of 20 feet of natural snow ... As you can see, the mountain sits right at the edge of the St-Lawrence river and when you are at the top, it's like you're going to end up right in the water if you don't stop in time ... 25 years ago, there was just one run open, no machinery to pack down the snow and no lift! We parked our cars at the top of the mountain and a school bus was waiting for us at the bottom to get us back to the top ... Even now, the resort is still a lot less "civilized" than Mont-Ste-Anne. There is also another ski resort less than an hour from my home that I try to go to at least once a year ... It's called Stoneham and it is quite beautiful too

The mountain is right between Québec city and the village were my uncle will be buried (He was the parish priest there for a few years and lived there after his retirement) and that is why we had decided to rent a big house near the mountain to go skiing saturday afternoon and sunday ...

Dwazee ... I could have swear I did make a post yesterday about a photographer names Walker Evans ...
His work may interest you ...i blame my work for not seeing this sooner. walker evans is interesting, and i do need to read up on him more, but someone else who is similar i really connected to recently. helen levitt--her photos of new york are fascinating. here's one i love: i think landscape is incredibly difficult to shoot because everyone's seen it so much, it's hard to make it really interesting. i really loved sally mann's deep south pics she just published. i remember my first real photo prof told us that, of all the things to photograph, documentary was important because very few were actually out there doing that. and it would be important--he looooved walker evans. loved him. for whatever reason, it's hard for me to connect to black and white photography. but i'll take another gander...

... The mountain is right between Québec city and the village were my uncle will be buried (He was the parish priest there for a few years and lived there after his retirement) and that is why we had decided to rent a big house near the mountain to go skiing saturday afternoon and sunday ... aah that was the deal with the cousins getting together. i've been to 2 ski areas where you ski down into a river valley, one great one on the wisconsin river called spring green (one of frank lloyd wright's personal homes, taliesyn, is there) had a nice (for the midwest mind you) 400+ foot vertical and was just 2 and a ½ hours out of chicago, west of madison wisc. the other skis down into the mississippi at galena illinois (called chestnut mountain) and i've actually only been there in october, when we took a weekend in the sorta touristy year-round galena region for my wife's birthday. there was no snow but out of curiosity we drove over there to check it out. saw large groups of eagles and we hiked maybe ½-way down the hill, which was BIG. and wide as well. absolutely gorgeous scenery...but as i said i haven't strapped on my brand-effing-new rossignols ever, since i bought them 4 years ago. so we've not gotten back to chestnut mt either. now, my wife's broken her foot (yesterday made it 7 days ago) so the vail trip i spoke of has ALSO fucking been called off indefinitely. Grrrrr! what that saying 'life is what happens while you're busy making other plans'? ain't it the TRUTH!
