Read a story once about the assembled parts of the human body having a contest about which organ of the body was the most important with everyone from the heart, the brain to the hands and feet claiming that title...until the asshole interfered and said he was the most important organ in human's anatomy, much to the derision of the others...to which the asshole replied by shutting himself down....all other bodyparts could not function as the digestive system was shut down...heart pounding, lungs puffing, blood racing, brain overheating, intestines bloating and as a result all limbs shaking...until in unison all bodyparts declared the asshole the winner of the contest.
In short- nothing happens without assholes. Remember that next time when somebody calls you one.

resolutions that I have broken so far that I will share:

1. No more foul language
2. Be nice! quit being such a surly prick--that has so many levels!

b. quit yelling at the TV when what its telling you makes you mad (im just gonna pitch it next time) what is the purpose of the ten o clock news? piss me off before bed?

c. quit being angry in general and replace that with love for everyone and everything and accept the serenity that surrounds me regardless of the situation (hahahahahahahahaha!)

3. listen to music ONLY a couple days a week--this was shot as soon as I made it. I don't know how to stop.

4. learn how to communicate--if anyone is reading this (hahaha!) you all know I am not very effective. "Awesome" "Excellent" and shit. thats all I know. See I just used the word shit dammit. I am really not this bad in real life. I need to go to a Toastmasters Club or something though. I am so shy man.

5. Quit using the word MAN after a sentence or half formed thought--especially when I am talking to the opposite sex.

6. do a backflip in the middle of the shopping mall. Or something. Anywhere. I have never done one.

7. I know I will never do a backflip so a HARMONICA SOLO will have to do. Out of nowhere just bust it out! I think that will do just fine. But its admitting defeat so I will attempt both. Any recommendations where the harmonica solo should take place is welcome.

Years still young though. Anything is possible! I can still be a winner!

* New Years Resolutions....what's with January 1 being the necessary date of change for so many people? You can change your life every single day. Everything is an occasion these days...

* Why do so many people go shopping on Boxing Day? And New Years' Day? Sales? There'll be more. It's bloody insane to see traffic queues line up for IKEA- wtf???

* Why do people doubleback on you when you are walking right behind them?

* Why is it that if I drop my sandwich on the floor it always ends up with the buttered side downwards?

* I love to drink a glass of milk with my breakfast but why is it that if I want to pour a glass of cow's wine in a hotel I have to tap it from the milk jug next to the cereal? Am I weird or something?

* When are grocery prices coming down? Someday stuff will get cheaper...it seems that there's no way back once an item gets more expensive. And I'm not talking petrol as I don't have a car...

* If people give me clothes and perfume at birthdays or Christmas, does that mean they're critical of the way I dress and smell?

* TV shows...the more sex, violence and supposed comedy-drama they throw in it, the less it makes me interested. I don't watch stuff like Dexter, Gossip Girl, Supernatural, Smallville, Heroes...it makes me flip the channel after a few minutes. I just can't hooked on a serie anymore like I used to...started to watch things like Lost but, er, lost interest after two episodes, Six Feet Under was kinda good but I never watched the final two seasons. Never got into The Sopranos which so often was lauded here (Mary?). Nothing grabs me anymore, even comedy (King Of Queens is supposed to be funny?) is bollocks these days. Am I just getting too old?

* Conversely- is pop back? I like Lady GaGa, MGMT...is there hope for the charts? Guitar music seems so uninspired these days....

* The new generation cartoon pictures....Wall-E was cute, but having watched some bits and pieces of the recent batch of cartoons it makes me wonder that the better the picture looks the more soulless it gets...is it all designed for the subsequent games, McDonalds/WallMart/Burger Bitch-promotion and Blu-Ray/HDTV-revolution demonstration? Give me Steamboat Willie, Tex Avery and the early Disney-classics with all their imperfections anyday....

Beyonce has finally infiltrated my house. My kids and my wife are all singing "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)." Nonstop. Every day. It's the answer to every question and the response to every statement. It's worse than waterboarding. I'd leave, but I know they'd follow me.

There are songs you wish you could forget but can't. They're like a virus that won't leave your system no matter how hard you try. You're in the shower, and before you can stop yourself "Y.M.C.A." pops out of your mouth. You catch yourself chanting, "Who let the dogs out?" in the car. You respond to a friend's recent troubles with "I get knocked down but get up again."

You try to erase these unwelcome melodies by thinking about something else. Nothing. You sing them ten times really loud and fast, hoping to push them out of your head. No luck. They won't leave you. You're afraid to go out at night. You used to be so much cooler than this.

Go easy on yourself. You're not to blame. There's a name for the affliction, and it's called "brain itch." And the type of song that causes the brain itch? That's an "earworm." Dr James Kellaris of the University of Cincinnati has studied the phenomenon (for real). It seems the combination of repetitive words and unchanging melody makes for the perfect earworm. We're helpless against its power.

Here are the all-time itchiest of the brain-itch tunes. You can rest easy knowing that it's not really you singing that song. It's that earworm dug into your mind, like in the movie "Scanners." At least now no one can blame you when your friends ask what you want for lunch and you say, "I want my baby back, baby back."

RIGHT SAID FRED: "I'M TOO SEXY"
The British group's 1992 tribute to fashion models gives a big brain itch. The most offensive part of the song? Copping a Jimi Hendrix riff (from "Third Stone from the Sun") for the instrumental break. Why ruin a perfectly good riff with such a punishing song? Jimi is too sexy for bad '90s dance tunes. Ah....brain itch!!!

CHUMBAWAMBA: "TUBTHUMPING"
This is probably the most ironic of all brain-itch tunes. The English band is made up of anarchists and punks who would bristle at all of the jocks who have appropriated their song over the years. They even turned down $1.5 million from Nike, who wanted to use the song in an ad. Proof that dudes who write bad tunes can still take the high road.

LOU BEGA: "MAMBO NO. 5"
This song didn't create a brain itch in 1949 when Perez Prado originally recorded it. However, Bega's 1999 cover version dug in deep. It also made anyone named Angela, Pamela, Sandra, Rita, Monica, Erica, Tina, Mary, and Jessica introduce themselves by another name when sitting at bar near a jukebox.

BAHA MEN: "WHO LET THE DOGS OUT"
Don't let the fact that this song won a Grammy fool you. It's hands down the most annoying brain itch song EVER! No, scratch that. It's the most annoying SONG ever. And I can't get it out of my head, ESPN be dammed.

HANSON: "MMMBOP"
Produced by the Dust Brothers (the dudes who brought us some of Beck's, the Beastie Boys', and Tone Loc's best work), this tune from the Tulsa brothers' major label debut was originally written as a ballad. Definitely not the tune to seduce a date.

Village People, "Y.M.C.A." (1978)

The song is 31 years old and still won't let go. It was rumored that the Y.M.C.A. sued the group for copyright infringement. The nonprofit denies the charge. Still, I bet they wish they had some of those royalties. The only thing worse than having the song stuck in your head? Watching 50,000 Yankees fans do the "Y.M.C.A. Dance," a fifth-inning staple at Yankee Stadium. Ouch.

Tommy Tutone, "867-5309/Jenny" (1982)

Not only did it stick in your head, but it also caused a bunch of earwormed bozos to call the number across the country asking for Jenny. It was a prank on par with "Is your refrigerator running?" The '80s were a lonely time.

This is the granddaddy of brain-itch tunes. No one can escape. It's required chanting for every sporting event and every testosterone-packed party. The most bizarre cover version has to be Linda Ronstadt's lullaby version from her 1996 album "Dedicated to the One I Love," ensuring that a new generation of babies will have new earworms dug into their brains
